I am starting a Death Korps army and my wallet already wants to kill me. I am a huge sucker for artillery and that quote if the IG codex "Infantry win firefights, tanks win battles, artillery wins wars" could not be truer with me. I have a bombard from FW on the way and I plan to get 2 more and some earthshaker batteries. This is mainly a modeling project but it will eventually turn into the plastic insanity that is the Imperial Guard. I am currently entertaining several ideas for paints schemes. I have looked thru the IA mastercalss book, which BTW is a top notch book. So lets see 'em! Lets see your Krieg armies.

Fafnir, really like the saturation of those models. The only niggle I have, and I hope you don't mind me saying so, is that the officer's trench coat looks like it's made of iron... and rusting!

Just a quick pro-tip to a new Krieg buyer.

If you want Heavy Weapon teams, try Ebay first, since FW used to do a discount three pack which included three heavy weapons team for about £30 which they have discontinued, forcing you to buy each team for £17.

Some sellers on Ebay bought those three packs and sell them for a lot cheaper than buying them individually from FW direct. Another penny pincher saving technique is to buy the 50 pack infantry at ease squad which amounts to roughly £1.00 per guardsman rather than £3.60 per guardsman (they're even cheaper than Cadians if you don't mind them not having special weapons!) Requires a lot of work however, but still it's not too hard (speaking from personal experience).

Thank you snarky for the tip I actually discovered that the large pack of Kriegsmen, which only contains 40 if im not mistaken, 3 squads and 2 command squads of 5 each...I think. ANd I was blown away because they are indeed cheaper then the plastic cadians. As for the heavy weapons teams, those are some of my favorite models that the Krieg have, altho I dont like HW in combat. I will deinfatley try that. I think the first thing Im gonna get is that massive pack of infantry, should keep me busy.
