A friend found a few of these in his bits box so we had a nostalgic bash at speed painting them- this little fella only took 20 minutes!
Now, to find some old plastic Gretchin!

Nice, I've been toying with pulling these out. I have about fifty of them, looks like they may just be okay with a decent paint job on them.

Heh, these bring back memories. Not neccessarily pleasant ones, though. I don't think I ever managed to paint the full box set of these guys. If you did the colour scheme to match a normal set of modern Boyz, I wonder if you could slip a few of these in without them looking odd.

We were toying with the idea of building a 5th Edition rules/codex Ork army but using nothing but 2nd edition miniatures! After trawling eBay, we discovered that it is entirely possible with the aid of a substantial lottery win!

Haha. Man, I wish my mum hadn't made me throw away all my Warhammer and 40K back in the 90s for being 'too violent'. Some of it would net me a tidy sum now. I had a few cool metal Orks from the era.

I got a box of 30 of those buggers and 40 odd autogun grots.

Need to get on and paint them. Going to convert some of the goffs into runt herds for the grots

Never had more than five of these and they're all in pieces now.

I have picked up a bunch of these recently. I like the fact that it already has that 'ard boy look to them. Even though they are smaller than the rest of my 'boyz, I like those models. 28 more to paint.

Whenever I get stuck for what to paint, I pull an old model out of the tub and paint it up!
With the old Orks, I tend to see how quickly I can paint each one- somehow it tends to inspire me for my next project!

Love the old school minis, and a great paint job.
