Can somebody tell me of a paint stripper that won't melt my Victrix or GW miniatures, and can be got in the UK?

Thank you very much

From the USA so I don't know. I do know this question was asked less than a week ago. And probably dozens of times before that. Did you give the search feature a try? You can usually find your answer through that.

Except you don't have an answer yet, and searching on dakka would have already revealed the answer to you...

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Regular brown Dettol will strip paint without harming plastic. Depending on the paint, leaving from 30 minutes to a few hours will get most of the paint off with scrubbing.

Buy some fairy power spray, thats your best bet.
only a few things to worry about though,
1. for some reason it doesnt take chaos black spray off plastics,
2. it softens FW resin, but only when its wet, so once its dry your fine.
3. dont just spray it on your models, empty the bottle in a tin of somekind and leave the mini in over night, and scrape off the paint with a toothbrush

Although I am from the US. I would think that the UK has oven cleaner. That is what I use and have never hd any problems. I have stripped over 60 metal figs with it and one of them had plastic on it and it did not melt the plastic. Take a large plastic ziplock bag, best to use the onse with the actual plastic zipper on it, drop in the figs, spray a decent amount in, let sit for a few days (keep out of reach from children), open it up, spray the inside with water, dry figs then use a small metal brush or tooth brush to ge off any paint residue left. I use that method and have had success. Hope this helps.
