Hey folks,

Whoa! I finished another Model... If I continue on like this I may even finish an army. Anyways.. Here is my Libby which I converted lightly. I prefer the hammer much more than before and I am pretty happy with this guy.

I will note that my highlights are horrible. I am still pretty new to highlights so I may go back and clean them up.

Let me know what you think.

I like it! lots of detail, esp on the base. the cloth looks great, too. a few minor things stand out for me:

- the highlighting, as you already mentioned, could be cleaner
- the haft of the hammer looks to be a bit bent in the last photo
- given the amount of blood on the hammer, I'd expect to see at least a few small splatters on the libby himself
- while I really love the base, the way he's positioned on it feels off to me... his toes hang too far over the edge

that said, this is a great looking model and I'll be looking to it for inspiration when I get around to doing my own

that hammer looks like it has seen some meat!! Nice work. The base is incredibly detailed and the tones it was painted in give it a nice realistic look. Great work!

Thanks for the Feedback and Compliments.

I am really happy the way the base turned out with a mixture of paint/wash/pigments I think it turned out pretty ace.

-I will be adding some blood to him probably on his cloth to make it pop. I usually use too much blood so that is a change.

-The reason he is looking like he is off the base is mainly due to the size of the location I could fit him on. I probably should of cut some to make him fit but it doesn't bother me too much.

-The staff is a bit bent but can be a bit hard to tell depending on the angle you are looking.

Blood for the Blood Go... er, wait he's a loyalist :p the blood spatters look great! maybe a tad too much, but the placement is solid and I like that you've broken it up into two different spatters. nice work

Too Much??? You can never have to much blood! I did start 40k with Khorne/Chaos so it is fitting.

Seeing that I am on a painting streak I am going to do a little side project I have been wanting to do. It will be a Furioso Dread ripping one nid in half while there are others about to swarm it. Already got the base ready and the dread primed so as long as I can keep going it should be done in a couple days.

only a couple days? man, you're a faster painter than I... I've been working on my dread for close to a week now and I don't even have shredded nids to deal with :p looking forward to seeing yours.

Nice work overall. I feel that with the blood the problem isn't that there is too much but it is the formation the blood is in. It looks to me like it should be in a more splatter pattern, while in this instance, it looks more like a solid streak of blood.

I don't think this is so much of an issue that you should change him, but next time try applying blood by wetting a brush and blowing through it onto the mini, to create a more random splatter pattern.

I have never heard of that and I think I will. What I was going for was that there was just so much blood that when it hit him it just basically rolled off the side of him. Thanks for the advice I will definitively have to give that technique a try.

Also, thanks again for all the nice comments.
