So I am a relatively new painter so I am looking for some consructive criticism please. I am a chaos player though I do have some proxies such as this stormraven.

VERY NICE! I like what you've got going here, it looks great. My only complaint is the cockpit, but I don't exactly have any tips. Probably some kind of transparent paint, but it's not bad as it is

Yea the cockpit lol, i forgot to paint the servitor and tech marine before gluing it so i thought hey, ill just use a bronze/gold paint and make it look like the visor current astronauts have. i think it looks good considering that is my first vehicle painted and detailed beyond that of a primer coat

Iron within! Iron without! Looks cool, I like the dark metallic colour.

Thats actualy a Chaos Black primer coat with boltgun metal drybrushed over it to give it the weather look. And Iron within! Iron Without! My warband is actually a word bearers/Iron warriors hybrid with just a touch of black legion for flavor

Sure as gak looks like a Marine Barracks to me. Use a white background for your photos Devil, we will be able to see them better.

Awesome paintjob, the stormraven looked like something out of tron without any lighting

Yup use a neutral uncluttered background so we can see them better. They look good though. You may need to thin your paints more but I can't be sure until I see better pics.

I also did not paint the interior of my storm raven cockpits, and just painted the glass.

I went for a glowing blue/white effect to represent the psychic powers of the pilots (GK storm raven)

I like the gold on the glass, but maybe there could be some way to paint it so it is looks more reflective? Maybe some highlights/reflected light or a gloss finish?


Maybe just something to differentiate it from the gold elsewere on the storm raven.

Though you might want to invest in a backdrop of some bought or home-made kind for taking pictures it's a little difficult to make things out in the shots you've provided.

The marine at the bottom looks nice though very easy to see that one.

If you are going to post many more pics on this forum I would suggest looking at some better photography techniques.
