So I'm thinking of doing what alot of people on the internet have done before and wish to add some flavor to my IG in the form of adding females. I'm looking for advice on where I could go to find good conversion kits or some advice on modeling my own. I've thought of trying to use Dark Elf warrior female bodies, but I don't have any to see how well they might fit on cadian legs and I was also thinking of using female heads from fantasy as well. Any advice or insight would be absolutely lovely.

Chapterhouse has a female guard conversion kit. Shadowforge has one too IIRC. You may also be able to pick up some of the old female IG metal figures off of eBay.

Yeah I managed to grab the old Commisar model off of here actually, pretty decent model. I'll check those other pages out though

I guess the real question is what type of female models are you looking for? Are you interested in what an actual female IG would look like or are you going for more the flak bra type model?

Nice "Flakbra" look, bust size looks reasonable when compared to the other bits that make up the figure.

It's a shame the Doc Thunder kits are off the market. They were the best female IG kits IMHO.

There are none, unfortunately. But as someone else linked the Shadowforge kits, here are the Chapterhouse one.

Shadowforge also makes reasonably well female Catachans, but only a few metal sculpts. So the Shadowforge conversion kit is your best bet currently.

Shadowforge also makes a female valhallan conversion kit similar to their Cadian one you see Here. Though converting valhallan metals would be kinda pricey and difficult...

Me, I am planning on buying Infinity models and just mix them with Mantic Corporation Marines. Infinity for the females, Mantic for the males.

I did notice that Mira in Space Marine doesn't actually look that different from male Cadians from the neck down, you could probably get away with bulking up the armor and hips just a tad with green stuff and finding different heads.

I hope this helps. This is a 90% done female / woman Adeptus Arbite I've been working on. The torso is dark elf, the arms / legs are Void junker, space marine knife, chaos bolter, Imperial shoulder pads, and a amazon head with some added styrene pipe and green stuff. The problem with the female dark elf chest pieces is that you'll need matching smaller / thinner looking legs and arms as well. You can't use them with IG legs and arms because they're too big in comparison. Either way it's going to be alot of tracking down matching bits and conversion work. I'm only doing two female arbites for a squad of ten and it's been a pain. Worth it, but a pain. Best of luck to you. Sorry about the crappy pictures. (I need a better camera I know)

Good to know, I appreciate it. I was talking to my wife and she said she will try to sculpt some female IG for me soon because she knows I would like to try tourneys as well with my IG, I'll post pictures and stuff whenever we get around to doing this as well! Thanks to everyone for their help and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with my progress (this is after I finish my PCS, yay USAF lol)
