Hey all

So here we are, the reason for Ed's OMG last night. We've been very busy the last few days getting everything ready to launch the flagship product for our new BattleSnap (cos it's for the Battlefield and it Snaps together innit? ) range of modular terrain. Anyone who's been on our website in the past few days may have noticed the new category has appeared in the sidebar, and interestingly thanks to google analytics we know it's been the most popular page since it went up even though there's nothing on there! Anyone who's followed our plog will have seen WIP pics of the parts and even helped us develop them, but now after some long days of cutting and painting (Ed's barely seen his home this week!) we can show the finsihed article off.

We'll be putting the kits up on the website over the next couple of days ready for pre-ordering while we optimise files and sort packaging and instructions (most of it's very straightforward and can be assembled and disassembled in a couple of minutes but the gate is a bit of a headscratcher the first time ) ready for the official launch on 01/08/2011, Monday the first of August. As a promotion anyone who orders any kits between now and launch day will get a free pack of jewel bases from the range of their choice included (the 40mm ones in particular make great objective markers if you don't want to use them as bases), so check our webstore over the next few days to get a detailed look at things and check out prices.

Thanks to everyone who's been following the development, it's pretty crazy to think we've managed to go from an idea for a basic barricade to a complete fort kit in less than a month in our spare time. This is just the start of the BattleSnap range and Outpost Accessories, there will be more on the way!

Nice to see you managed to finish painting it! I think you had just got the first coat of grey on it when I popped round yesterday. Have to say I was very impressed with all your stuff you've got going. You guys have a perfect mini studio set up.

I was particulary impressed with the laser cut bases. The detail really shines through when you see them in person.

ok this battle snap stuff is AWESOME, i've been trying to make something similar with foamcore recently and its slow going, looks like i may be able to skip that entirely, can't wait to see the entire set on your website, will order asap. I was also wondering if a simple gear pattern around the edge of the jewel bases would be possible, just to give it a slight mechanicus vibe, if so i expect you'll be getting most of my next paycheck

This has probably been said already but I'd like to reiterate a bit: be very careful with your names and labels.

Librarium Onine (or whatever its called now) got hit with the IP hammer over something that only vaguely resembled the imperial aquila. Your designs are different but more similar tan Librarium's.

This stuff looks awesome and much more flexible in purpose than GW's stock of gothic ruins. I really want to be able to buy this down the line.

Yeah the pics with plastic men on won't be on the webstore, they're strictly for personal use. The display board's for me to show off my Cadians, hence the text.

You guys have been busy, all the fort stuff looks very nice indeed.

Aww heck, that is amazing! Opening and closing gates, now that is clever The modular ability really clinches it though, something a lot of us have wanted for ages!

Love the bases. what program is it that unfolds the terrain peices for you It might be able to help me with my tie fighter land speeders at least as a refrence sheet type thing.I know you said something but it took me 6 hours to read thread the first time not going to reread to find the program name that i'm not even sure you named.

Also those hero plynth things mainly the technicron and eldar ones might lookk a bit better if the back part had the mirror(spelling?) back as its a display so itll show both sides at once then so people can admire full model without having to handle your model you worked so hard on.

Very nice indeed. If you can make an in-table trench system I am sure there will be more than a few people interested (the making of gaming tables seems to be increasing these days ).

This is the perfect outpost set regardless.

yep plans have been afoot for a while for how to extend the set. Higher walls, bigger gates (with sexy mechanisms :O ). The fluff is basically a flat-pack outpost that can be quickly air-dropped and erected then expanded over time as needs dictate, so front-line bases would have higher walls, reserve or needed in a hurry bases would have lower walls, etc, etc.

Now you just need a shower block

Ooh, how about a laser-tag assault course with little pop-up targets and a flag to capture?

Ok so now not only do I wnat some of your bases, your terrain is now on the list. All I really need now is a price for the system for a 3 level outpost.

OH question will the outpost have firing slits in the lower tiers?

I actually like that idea. you can literally make an entire facility for a training planet attacked by (insert army here) so fluff battles will be so much fun!

3D space hulk walls i am pretty sure your stuff would work wonders for creating a standard set of space ship interior walls . Infact i am pretty sure i could convert one from the sets you have posted already , and the custom jewel bases would look pretty epic on it too

Question, if you buy the sets do they come in the reinforced style? I noticed that the 3 pack were offered in your choice of aquila, chaos star or reinforced, but not such distinction was made for the fortress sets, etc.
