i am making a salamanders army and i would like to post them here,

i also would like to have some tips and feedback.

probably o will also have some questions so, i would like to ask you a couple things.

P.S. first question, how can i put photo's on here?

does anyone know how to place images, i now use attachments... but here i have some guyz.

they are all WIP.. i started a week ago with my salamander army.

i have also a couple of lava bases ordered but they aren't here already so i will have to cut my salamanders from their bases and glue on the lava bases.

the heads of the flamer guy and the sergeant are magnetisized, the arms of the venerable Dreadnought can go off so i can change them.

pls give some comments and tips because i have started this army last week so i will need some tips i think..

Got my Lava Bases!!

Got a little bit further with the Venerable Dreadnought, he's still wip, there are a couple things i need to do; the arms, a lava base and a couple of other things, i also made a lava base but i'm not sure i like it, maybe someone has a tip?? And i have worked furter on the Flamer marine, i'm not really happy with his back pack, i think there are too much bronze things, tips pls!!

The photo's are a little bit to bright, everything is a little bit darker.

The venerable and the tactical marines look cool, and are painted awesome.
The lava base is painted really cool, especially the lava part.

Lava bases = PURE AWESOME . They are painted well, and look sweet

Your ven dread is coming along really well. What are you thinking of putting in the black parts on the knees? Some flames would look cool.

Can i get a side shot of your Tac marine? Specifically of the flames on the shoulder. When i tried covering the entire shoulder pad with flames, it didn't look great. I did 1 single spout of flame, and it looks good.

@ Zambro: Thanks, yep, i'm going to paint flames inside, and sorry but i can't take a picture of the shoulder flames yet because i''m going on holiday tomorrow so the camera is already packed in, i will post a picture when i am back, i'm going 3 weeks so you will have to wait, srry!

Got some progress while i'm on holiday so;

The flamer guy is nearly done i think, only some cleaaning up needed i think...

The other guys still need much work.. Especially the four bolter guys.

no pictures here either, as far as pictures go upload them to the dakka gallery, then if you click the one you want there is a box with various bits of code in, copy all the stuff from the 'forum' one and paste it into your reply, it will make it show up, there is a thread about this at the top of the project log threads i think, it will be stickied, have a look.

As for your modeling its looking really good! I like the removable heads, havn't seen that done much, your green is really nice too, not too bright at all. The lava also looks very nice, keep it up, will keep an eye on this one.

I'm sorry for the pictures, i am on holiday and i have only internet on my phone and it is too hard for it to upload the photos, so there are no photos in my last post.. I will plave new photos when i'm back home again (that will be next week).

I would suggest Grey edge highlights on the black backpack to bring it up some. As for the brightness everyone has they're preferred shade for each chapter, my Sallies are very dark as I don't like them bright, but yours look fine! The... Tin bits? Or copper you have on the backpack is unique. I prefer gold or NMM

Looking really good the one thing i would say would be that in some places the bright green edging is a little to thick or stood out to much for my personal taste

what weapon does the sarge have? I think its a plasma pistol but I'm not entirely sure

To put images in your post, upload them to Dakka's gallery. From there, you can place them in your posts by doing the following:
- Right click on the image and select "copy image location" or "copy image URL" depending on the browser you're in.
- Type (without quotes) ["img"] and paste your image URL immediately afterward. Then close it with ["/img"]

It should look like this typed out, without quotes:
["img"]http://www.dakkadakka.com/s/i/a/df07ab31f7863cacd0b0dae41889e574.jpg["/img"]
And then when you actually make the post, the image will be there. Alternately, when you post a reply (not the quick reply) there are image buttons that put in the tags for you. So you can click the image tag which will type in ["img"] then you can paste in the link, and then click the button again and it will close the tag.
