Cheers

I know a lot of Ork players who will be pleased. Particularly by the meganobs and deffkoptas.

Plus it's fairly credible that a GW marketing campaign for their biggest release would fit on one side of A4 - Flashman

3 non walker vehicles in a box? That sounds kinda hard to believe. But yea those buggies are WAY overdue for a revamp

Also plastic Meganobz are also a nice plastic completion, even if no one uses them compared to totally-awesome-in-any-list nobz

Upgrade packs sound interesting. Though I guess they're GW direct only and flash git wise theres already a ton of ways to make them (via both GW and 3rd party anyways)

Plus theres technically no official option for Twin Linked Shootas and Buzzsaws

Although at termie price for 3 you probably wont be seeing too many of them used in 5 man squads

I guess theres now going to be a mad dash to get the old ones to stock up on bulk too

I'm assuming that the Warbuggy/Wartrakk/Skorcha release will be GW finally producing this bad boy seen a few years ago:

Chances are this rumor is bullshizzle but who knows, every edition means a brand spankin new SM codex and an Ork codex to go with it.

Orks didn't get a new Codex in 5th.

Anyway, this is:

1. Stickmonkey.
2. News of a 'wave' right after we've been told there would be no more waves.

But, if true, that would be it for the Orks right? Aside from the odd special character they'd have every unit from their Codex either in plastic or updated?

making the assumption that newer codex's will begin to shift towards forgeworld stuff, (why not, try to sell more of it) I could see a new codex with little more than updated rules, grot tanks, mega dreads, flyers, and current stuff.

I don't understand GW's strategy at releasing models years later. It was bad enough to see Thunderwolves after so many alternatives have sprung up.

Now they are releasing models for an even OLDER codex. I guess the only thing good out of it could mean we might see a new Ork dex on the horizon.

I believe this heralds a new orks codex for early 2013, they've not had once since 4th.

And, just consult the old Waaagh the Orks, Freebooters and 'Ere we go! books for ideas for new units.

Seems like wishlisting (although I'm not convinced we've seen the end of 'wave' releases). It's not impossible though - the Bommer kit shows that GW are happy to crank out Ork kits (and good ones too). If it was a full-blown wishlist, there would also be a multi-part plastic Warboss.

Assuming there is a new Warbuggy kit in the works, it could be based on the design that appears in IA-8. FW didn't do a model of it.

Rl buggies would not be the first multi model vehicle box GW has released. I'm thinking of the Kans they released for the orks last year.

BTW. i am all about mega nobs and the ork buggies if this rumor proves ot be true.

First new Kanz and Dreads

Then new Bommas

Now redone buggies (i just have to get a few ...dozen ) and Manz (i have 30 already, but they'll likely look like gak compared to the new ones )...

I can't imagine boxes of 3 Buggies or boxes of 3 Deffkoptas, and being priced the same as Terminators.

Those models should be in Venom/Spyder territory more likely.

Plastic Mega Armoured Nobz would be very welcome though

If the can do it with Kans, they can do it with buggies and whatnots. Here's hoping that the buggies will look like the IA8 designs.

I hope you are right, but they also could have given us 3 (perhaps slightly smaller) Spyders in one box just like the Wraiths (who appear bigger than they actually are). Or 3 Venoms. Or 3 IG Sentinels (who basically compare to the Kanz)...

And they are talking about spring 2013. Pricing trends seem to be moving upwards instead of down.

Btw, H.B.M.C. sticking up for GW??

What can I say, I... really like Orks, and I want them to have a full suite of models, and not these decade old hand-me-downs like the Buggies and so-called Deffkopta that they currently have.

I'd love to see that, but that really seems like whishlisting. It pretty much all what ork player are asking for.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

The Spyder took everyone by surprise. Not Dread-sized, and not 3 to a box. Venoms are Vyper-sized, so them by themselves made sense. They're like Land Speeders and whatnot. Sentinels were released a long time ago. If redone (which I doubt they would be) I could see them being placed in boxes like Kanz.
