Oh ok. Well either way I wonder if psykers are going to play a bigger role in 6th I know others have speculated it before.

Although I've heard of the rulebook, templates, tape measure and psychic power cards, I hadn't heard of the wire, dice, objectives or vehicle markers! I'll definitely be picking up a set of vehicle markers. Wonder why they're dropping like a month later though.

No they are for rulebook which contains a big overhaul to psychic powers.

Do you think they're going to do something silly an release some kind of multipurpose pykers too? If pykers are made as powerful as magic in fantasy they'll need some trick to get them into Tau and DE and Necron lists.

Yes it does look like a navigator. Psyker based I would assume. Hinting that the rumours regarding that have some truth in them.

Still that video is pointless to put it lightly.

Yeah. I have no idea how they are going to do this with DE. I am hoping that Psykers are not as powerful as casters are in WHFB.

/sarcasm I can't wait to dump all my psyker dice into some big ass spell and destroy half my opponents army in one turn.

I'm dreading random psychic tables. Seriously.

I'm hoping that 'purchased' or selected powers remain that way and the random is only an optional or additional thing.

Or Eldar and Tyranids are getting hosed, big time.

I /so/ look forward to my Tervigons and Hive Tyrants ending up with the wrong powers for every game ever.

That would be a Navigator, which should be obvious with the third eye, probably tying into that little footnote in the 5th edition that the Golden Throne is failing. And seeing as the Big E is hooked up to the Astronomicon, which is the beacon for all Navigators..

I REEEAAALLLY hope that psykers dont become as powerful as they are in fantasy, because while I play fantasy and love it, i also want a game that my guys dont get brought to WS1 and S1 because of the enemy magician/psyker, especially since i figure that some armies will be "high elf-ish" and pwn in psychic abilities while others will be "meh"

Dwarves still don't have wizards, I don't think they'll change that.

Psykers have never been as central to 40k as mages have in fantasy. They were powerful in 2nd (far more than they have been since) but even then they didn't even come close to the crazyness ofmagic in fantasy 5th.

I wouldn't mind Psykers being upped in power to be honest, as long as they don't dominate the game like they do in fantasy.

It is interesting when you think about it. Starter Box is meant to be DA and Chaos, new Chaos codex on the way, someone mentioned the 'Navigators' (dude with third eye in teaser) and their link to the Throne, the GW Facebook mentioned 'Psychic Interference' and someone else suggested it was from the Warp...

A possible turning point in the 40K Universe involving Chaos, The Warp and... The Emperor? All three are linked by pyschic powers, which appears to be a major feature in 6th, and then the Navigator in the teaser and the rumours about a new Chaos codex

I really don't like the idea of psychic cards. If I wanted to play a card game I'd play MTG or Pokemon. I'm hoping it really is just a book with psychic powers in it.

Not to call you out or anything here Auston, but it's not really making it a "card game".

They're just play aids, if done in the same way as the WHFB cards. They have the Lore/spells organized.

I'm not sure how Navigators could be incorporated into 6th.

I am really curious to see how psychics develop but I do hope you don't get completely shafted by playing a non-pscyhic army. I feel worse for the armies without any psychic defense...

As far as the navigator goes, I think it's just a picture that will be in the rule book on the psyker pages.
