I think it's a pretty neat theme, at least halfway "camo" and not the flourescent "manga" style a lot of people envision for the Tau... (Okay, they were created for the sole purpose of pleasing the Japs into gaming warhammer, but that doesn't mean they all have to look like metrosexual fashion-distasters?)

Only thing is that you should think about adding some gravel and stuff to the base (duh!)

And the suit? They often benefit from some more "contrast" than your average troopers, I just add some "warm" metals like bronze to some panels

Can give your opponent a true headache if used properly! (allways obscured and annoyting as all hell when jet-packing around)

Got any name/background for your commander?
Tau tend to have name along the lines of Shas'O Yarble'Garble'Schmarble so I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't found anything that "fits"... I know I haven't, and my army is racing towards battle-readiness while my inner fluff-Nazi is screaming in agony at not having found an apt Sept or commander name

I named him shroudpike, after hearing about shadowsun, farsight, puretide, guys like that. He abandoned the farsight enclaves, and has to atone for leaving the empire for farsight by serving on the front line perpetually, he has started recruiting humans and space marine to bolster his forces. in my last game my stealth suits ripped apart my opponents 420 point vanguard squad in one round of shooting!

I know, when it come to shooting nothing can best the Tau, however I have only ever played Nids (my GF's) and so I'm really just stuck in a never ending limbo of being torn a new "posterioir orifice" in CC-.-

But I'm hoping all that will be a fast receeding memory now that I can take both Marines and Eldar as battlebrothers!

You are running the Marines as a "friendly" chapter right?
'Cus I think you might have a hard time convincing a Space Marine to fight for the Greater Good? (That's just the Fluff-spark in me again

The background for my marines is that they arent indoctrinated as much (I have yet to come up with an acceptable reason why

) plus because of a geneseed malfunction, (a.k.a. black rage) imperial forces have a habit of abandoning them, so when they saw the chance to defect to the tau most of the chapter betrayed the imperium, so the tau ended up with the space marine's system and 600 space marines. Four companies stayed loyal to the imperium, but one was wiped out. so the loyalists fled to the genesis chapter, and are now preparing an invasion of their old sector. both eldar and marines are battle brothers, orks are (I think) allies of convenience. 2 of the stealth suits are nearing completion!

Yeah, I guess an Imperial Campaign would be in the making if a Chapter defected... Poor Tau, let's hope the Nids decide to invade again so the Imperium has to worry about them for say... A new millenia?

Any plans as to if the Chapter will be able to create new marines to replenish losses?

One idea could be to incorporate Tau bits and bobs into the powerarmour-configuration? Those things are OLD and could use some refurbishing

Who else would be more suited (mehehe, pun I make yes) to improve on the allready effective powerarmour?
Eldar, I think not, Space Marines in spandex would be... wrong.. just wrong!

the tau took the sector which included a forge world and a couple recruitment worlds, so the tau marines can replenish losses, the loyalist marines cant, so they have a chapter or 2 helping them out, my guerilla space marines, (The lyalists who were left behind) use tau armor and bits to repair their armor, The traitors, keep most of their armor normal, but do not have purity seals. assault marines would complement some tau nicely!

ya, I want squats to return, and/or the ultrasmurfs to die in the overall story, I read on lexicanum (warhammer 40k wiki) that they found an irreparable problem with the golden throne so the emperor might die soon....

Sadly, no...The only vehicle I own is a rhino, plus I got pneumonia, which i'm pretty sure is actually nurgle's rot. Also, because I'm 14 I have the budget of a homeless ork mek. I am, however, planning on saving up for a while, then buying some tau and space marine stuff! I base coated my battlesuit, so that should be finished in about a week or 2!

Ah, well, that's to bad for you! You really need a hammerhead or a devilfish to make Tau do what they are supposed to (zip around and bail before you get into CQC!)

I'm a student, so I don't buy that much... Though I did get the chance to order for over 400 quid (£) at Forgeworld.. LOTS of cool suits there! (Started out with just the Broadsides... but you know.. forgeworld xD)

Anyways, keep up the good work! Looking forward to the suit!

No freaking way! That is awesome, I really want to get some broadsides and a hammerhead at some point, I almost always get my stuff off of ebay, 22 dollars for stealth suits! If I do get something off of forge world it will be broadsides and Elysian drop troops. I might wait till September, then I'll get some stuff. I do have 16 more firewarriors, a stealth suit, and my commander to paint.

Please post your army, it sounds great! My favorite part about the hobby is the assembly, so its good to know there's another kit basher! I will check that sight out soon, thanks for the reference! My friend (Who lives on the other side of the country.) has a pretty sweet dark angels offshoot chapter, I'll try to get him to post here.
