I followed the advice given by d-usa & Cruentus on the link above and went out an bought some fun new Vallejo products

(Sating varnish, Glaze medium, Matt varnish, Metal medium, Thinner medium & Gloss varnish) ..... i got a bit to excited

Firstly i would like to thank both d-usa & Cruentus for their feedback.

I think the extra wash of badaab black on the black areas really did the trick & the matt varnish worked wonders on my transfers!
Looking at the red area's i started to think maybee they werent red enough, so i hit it with another layer of Vallejo red ink and was pleased to find it actually aided in making my highlights appear a bit more natural.
At this point i thought to my self "matt varnish could really take the edge off of that ink and proceeded to coat the red area's with gloss varnish by mistake.



Lesson learnt , always read the bottle.

I gave it another shot with the correct bottle this time and i was fairly satisfied with the results.

Next i might try my hand at a Mortifactor & then really hook into a BT army.
I have to stop putting it off, i have 3 BT tac squads & 2 BT assault squads gathering dust in my office.

Great looking model, those few extra steps really paid off. Good job.
