Well it's an uncorrected "error" as I was going to name him Variel The Flayer from 1st Claw, 10th Company. But as I dont know if hes still an apothecary or not I deleted the name from the base (you can hint the letters if you watch carefully). Im going to have him as a regular Lord, named after my own liking, or perhaps name him after the new prophet of the eight legion - Descimus.

Edit: And the 10th is on the other skull behind the sword. Shouldn't have painted it because it will never show

Those horns are fantastic, how did you do them?

Its actually a basecoat of a brown color from P3 Formula Color, followed by a wash of Nuln Oil from GW. After that I gradually build it up with some carefull drybrushing up to skull white as the detail is so fine I didnt have the time or will to layer it all up. The final touch was a very thin wash in the deepest areas with Nuln Oil. pretty simple and not to shabby.

PS. I love washes..

I really like it, nice colour selection

However one criticism that I do have is the sword blade. I would have change the painting style on it, and just had a solid coloured blade in a NMM style rather than painting the lightning on it again.

From the front angle it all kind of blends together and bit confusing, but that is just me.

I cannot express how much awesomeness resides within that armor. I am however, not a fan of the cloak. But i really think that's just a personal taste - not of how skillfully it's been crafted. Very awesome job, please paint the whole army and post it!

I actually aimed to not make it a lightning effect and its to bad that it came out in a way that you shoudl think it does But anyways. will not change it. and yes, Next up is the Hellbrute. Dunno when it will be finished but Ill update this post when it is.

Nice work there mate. the only thing that bothers me is the inside of his cloak.. and maybe the tone of the red outer side.

I m currently working on my renegades army but i ll work my NL pretty soon.

I aggree about the cloak. mentioned that earlier to. Should have been red/darker red. nad the red is darker in reality as these pictures turned out really bright. Also Im using P3 Formula colors so the colors differ somewhat from GW's. But I think thats refreshing for my painting (and the lids on the pots is soooo nice).

Yeah, noticed that when I painted him. Took so much longer to paint. I think the level of detail on the new Raptors is a good level to keep. Fortunatelly even the Chosen in the DV box hasnt got this much detail.
