So I'm just looking for feedback on how the model is put together before I get crackin' on painting (in which case I will need some help there too)

I started with some DA terminator legs, and popped on a torso that had the cloth hanging from it. One arm is a Termi arm, and the other is a regular arm with the hand chopped off to make room for the storm shield. The head is a BA chapter master/captain head.

Let me know if you would change/add/remove anything!

Is he meant to represent someone in power armour? In that instance i'd fill in the back of the terminator legs, as they are an easy give away.

Also i'd probably cut up his arms a bit and try to make the pose a little more dynamic, he is a bit static and plain for a commander type.

Elsewise he looks good.

Looking awesome already! It doesn't matter too much if you keep the termie legs, they look pretty natural IMO

It's a very neat conversion. You might want to consider shaving off the blood drop on the helmet though.

Looks very nice. The only thing that leapt out at me was the mixed iconography. It's all DA swords, with that one blood drop.

His loadout is Thunder Hammer, SS, Artificer Armor. I kept the terminator legs just to differentiate him. But if I wanted to fill in the legs, would I just use regular green stuff? I'm still new at modeling.

Yeah, he (And a lot of my mins) are put together from the parts bin. I also use the same models for C:SM, BA, and DA. For my personal fluff I just say they are scrounging parts from other armies, having been cut off from the Imperium for so long.

Looks pretty good. My only concern is the different sized arms and shoulder pads. Other than that, cool concept.

You could add a few purity seals and a back banner if you feel up to it.

I may do that, I have this really long vertical banner which might work to be like half a stole running down his backpack.... hrm...

That is a great kitbash. Looks like a commander.

I like it, the terminator parts don't look too chunky for power armour. The pose works for me, gives the impression he's moving at a regular pace, rather than rushing in.

And he's more than a full head taller than anyone else in power armor in the army
