Micro Arts Studio, know for its terrain pieces, has entered the model and game-making arena with a skirmish level, steampunk style tabletop game. They are running an Indiegogo campaign to fund the printing and distribution of the game book, which was shown and sold at Gencon this year.

Where else will you find a game that has Oriental Orcs in business suits, butlers with parasols, and giant robotic fleas?

Wow, I love the flea. Really creative, in a steampunk kinda way.

Serious Kickstarter fatigue, though...

Advanced Terrain: Indestructible, pre-painted 28mm games terrain.
And yes... we are a Hirst Arts licensee!

Snorri Rottstein on Golemic Flea and Ingrid Rangvaldottir's Mirror Golems (but not Ingrid herself - nothing personal, Ingrid) are genius.

Don't really care about the game, but anything that encourages models like these has to be a Good Thing.

Oh my, a kickstarter for a steampunk project. We're certainly catching these waves at their crest, aren't we. The flea and powerfist are great though.

The Indiegogo campaign has been edited to make it easier to get the models, but not requiring the purchase of the rulebook.

Choose the Customizer ($30) or Customizer + ($55) to select the models that you want from their range. Included in the options are even a couple of models that are not even available yet:

Clockwork Servants

I found it a pretty interesting game setting. As a history buff, the inclusion of a great war that combines Napoleonic, WWI and WWII (in a very Arrowsmith format http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrowsmith_(comics)) is outstanding. Dragons, liches, golems, steam-powered wyverns, crystal-based communications--they have just about everything a good stream-punk campaign needs.

Today we've updated the painting perk on our indiegogo. People were asking how will look those painted minis etc. And now the question is finally answered The sets will be painted by our best painters and on the catalogue level
[Of course the unpainted miniature from triad of lotus will be also painted ]

I think that this information will be a nice one We've changed our builder perk - now it's totally HDF oriented. Take a notice that the one from the stretched goals is a smaller brother of the regular walkway (it's shorter)

@Micro Art Studio:

A friend of mine wants to join my pledge, if we order $150 combined... do we get 2 of the stretch goals (I doubt it... but thought I would ask)

Last 15 hours. Almost 9k now. That's four stretch goals so far, one very close and the big one within reach. Resin bases, extra models, scenery pieces, and walls now included. Walkways about to be added. And at 10k we'll see an additional building.

As said earlier, that means (if we make 10k) a $90 donation will get you 2 scenery stands, a set of walls, 3 sets of elevated walkways, and 2 multi-level buildings. All built by MAS, one of the best in the business.

Ha! If I was just trying to get more stretch goals, I would just use my other email address ;-)
