i started my first 40k army about 3 months ago and these were the first models i painted and i just gave in and based them i didn't sooner because i was unsure if i was going to get the effect i wanted but I'm happy with how they came out for tabletop at least.

They look great. Good news/bad news, you probably have between thirty to sixty or so to go for 2k pts, not including tanks, so they will probably get even better by the time you're done. Eventually this will eat your soul and you'll strip the old ones to bring them up to the standard of the rest. It's a vicious cycle, but you'll love it.

Right on, it turned out very well! I feel like those are the new line of paints? I haven't had much (barely) experience with them as I'm still using my old ones. Looks like the wash worked very well. In any case, I really like how they turned out. Can't wait to see the rest of your army!

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

This....a thousand times this...I have about 50 or 60 marines and only 20 of them are up to my current standard of painting

Very impressed. I hate to nitpick, but was the guy in the back (3rd from the right) supposed to turn out with purply flesh?

the reason they are like that is because when i painted them i didn't have any flesh like color so i just tried to make my own with the colors i had and thats why they aren't very consistent lol

Fantastic job. I especially like how you actually varied the models' paint scheme a bit. Now all you need to do is paint 100 more and you will have filled out a single troop choice . I'm sure many people will be having nerdgasms once the army is fully painted and on the board. Hope you keep up the great painting.
