This Blog has been going on for a little while now and im just in the process of neatening it up...

So i got ready for 6th ed and decided my nurgle demon army wouldn't be the best way to learn this new edition, and after my hatred of 40k since 4th ed came out i thought id dive right back in.
BUT!!! with me paying for my wedding in December, money is pretty tight... so i dove in my bitz box and had a rummage... and (somehow) i found a rather large collection of space marine/imperial guard/ chaos marine bits, and randomly put together models...
So ive done the best with what i have.
Ive stuck them all together/assembled/converted everything... so ill upload pics of the army and as i have it now, and as it gets further into painting ill upload them
So without further adew...

My Blood raven army:

Made this from the most salvages... i beleive thats 2 rhino parts, steam tank, liquid green stuff and plastic from an old blista pack

So i got some more done last night but i tried to upload them at work today and it just keeps crashing...

so ill paint a picture with words so you know hwere im up too...

Ive started to paint my terminator librarean, a similar way to the other librarean above (yes im aware that the term liby once served as a chaplin) so he has been painted moridian blue, washed in black, and red for his arm. Ive kept the same techinque for the above libby. instead of drybrusing his blue again like the basic troops im going over it again but missing of the edges to create more shadow...

as for the others ive painted, i started painting the rest of the started tactical squad. so thats just 4 more. they have been-mechrited, washed, and drybrushed, waiting for baal red wash next before i go onto detail

As for my other dreaddy, do you guys think he should become a permenant member of the blood ravens or shall he turn to the suspicious dark angels?

Let me know (ill have a DA army at xmas.)

Did some more work on them today ive finally finished my 500pts :-D

Went rumaging through my bits box too. Found a sprue with the lascannon bits on so ill mmke a step in lascannon...

And foind somebother bits to piece together my other dready :-)

With my upcomong DA army i decided to drop the terms so i can have one of those deathwing lists too ;-)

Also had a game with my new list the other day.

Ao couldnt get any more painting done as i was working till late. On the bright side. Sold 3 houses today. Not too many people can say that ;-)

But ive completed 2 tactical squads. 1 vindi. 1 librarean and 1 dready.
Ive started on my 2nd lib. My yhunderfire cannon. And the 3rd squad. Plus some of my sterngaurd... Whic i only own 2 of... So far.

So i finished my last scout squads and my 2 remaining tanks :-)

Also found some more models for my sterngaurd :-) so i should be able to put up a big update tommorow for you guys with a megga photo shoot with good quality

Sorry ive not gotten round to posting the showcase photos yet, i PROMISE ill get round to taking them, but this laxidasical'ness has given me chance to make a Master of the forge, a seperate techmarine for my thunderfire cannon, and that all important plasma gunner for my final squad

Ive also painted up the basecoats of my Tau Allied detachment (except the firewarriors)

so ill post pics of those too!

Also on the painting bar, ive made a big impact into my Orc bloodbowl team, "The Bad Moon Broncos" and will post pics also,

Finnally (today to be honest) i stuck together the Fantasy equivilent to my ravens (them both been bits box armies) My Warriors of Tzeentch it consists of 20 warriors of chaos, 40 "marauders" which are the "Beasts of Tzeentch" a nice mix of beastmen gors and marauders my old metal spawn and the "discs of Tzeentch" a cursed band of Tzeentch Knights on the quest for helms of worthy foes to replace the Discs that entomb them forged by Chaos dwarves !

My empire are basecoated and my Dark angels are still in the chrismas wrapping paper, but theres plenty coming

Im just waiting for my pictires of my WOC to come through via email to myself and i shall post them up

As Promised, the (soon to be named) Warriors of Tzeentch army.

Also, to get more feedback on my blog, ill launch a competition...

To name this army. Ill give you some background.

The Sorcerer lord was arrogant in his ways and entrapped a powerfull tzeentch demon to his command, the demon could only be free if he was to grant ruinous powers to his tribe of followers.

The Wizard requested of the demon that he wanted his Warriors to be Impenatrable in their armour.

He requested for his Marauders to have the fury of the beastmen to the south.

He wanted his personal band of knights to have the power and duribility of the foul Orcs.

And for his Son to be granted all the gifts of Tzeentch.

The demon, not wanting to be entombed for any longer granted theese "wishes" but as his god had created him, he was devious.

The Warriors armour plates all melted together and seared their flesh to their armour, his marauders slowly started to morph into half man, half beast creatures. His Knight retinue, famed accross the north grew grotesque and large, similar to his so envied orcs.

The demon left him with 2 more parting gifts, He "blessed" the Wizard with the tribal power of the great bray Shamans, and the look to go with it, and he "Gifted" the Lords son with the greatest gift (other than demonhood) that tzeentch would give such an arrogant wizard.

He turned his son into a Chaos Spawn.

So there you have it hopefully you can come up with a decent name for this army (even if the background is a little genie in a bottle takes revenge)

Still not had a chance to update the blog. sorry guys, but i will get round to it ASAP. Unfortunatley, my next two days off are spent chrostmas shopping for the Mrs, and then a good Ol needed game of Fantasy With my empire vs my buddys skaven... 1 game with my empire, so i hope it goes well...

hes fairley well versed in the rat tactics now after spending the past year having weekly games vs my ogres...

Right guys, im uploading my Finsihed Blood ravens tommorow. Taking the Wifes car to an MOT then im streight to my breakfast bar and clicking away.

I have a game on Saturday with them vs my same buddys plague marine list. (wish me luck)

Bought some firewarriors whilst i was christmas shopping too, just could resist, so ill post those up with my batle suits when ive got them together.

Then ill get back onto my WOC.

and as christmas is coming, thaought id let you know my new year plans for the blog.

Im getting:
Megga new paint set
Dark angels army
Storm talon.

So the plan is, paint the WOC and tau with my old paints,
Paint my empire then stick and paint the angels (all with new)
so not to get too bored of painting everything.

GOnna hold off on the talon though as id rather have it in my angels, but not convinced theyll get one.

In febuary ill get myself a battleboard and hopefully the imperial bastion box set, with the ageis lines and 2 bastions too.

PS: ill definatly upload pics tommorow.

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said this thread isn't getting any love.

I like the conversions a lot. GS in the the #2 Dread could use some smoothing, but overall I really enjoyed going through this thread (really like your recovered vehicles!) and I'm looking forward to seeing where you go next. And know that as soon as you start making terrain the LoER will be all over this thread.

Thankyou, i know the 2 dreadys were originally 2 salamanders ones so it was from some time ago... i wont be pulling them apart now, but ill now for the fusture but im glad you like the conversions otherwise.

The vehicles were my favourites too.

They admitadley dont look fantastic, but considering what they were and have been (that predator for instance was orignally a dark angels when i bought it, 8 years ago, then i made it into a black templars, then a looted Ork pred (in the last ork dex) then a slanneshi chaos and now after many years in my bitz box, a blood raven )

...they have turned out nicely

So i managed to loot this from wotk. Its a tin bird house. Just 2 ideas to what i could make out of it...

Idea 1. Use pky wood to make wooden strips for that shack feel along with a straw style roof. Or...

Idea 2. Blast out a corner at the back and paint it to look like a burnt out building for 40k...

Any ideas?

Ive still not decided on what im doing with that house :/ and all projects have seemingly gone on the side. They have made room for 2: 1) painting my empire army (ill post pics of what i have done soon enough) 2) sticking my dark angels. (again ill post)

Also its my 1st try with the full new paint set (i got the one in the drawers for xmas) Must say im throughly enjoying them but theyre different to get used to...

The new dark angel codex has come out and i have just stuck together the majority of my angels, so will be working on them shortly. but in the mean time ive been working on my empire

theyre a colony of soldiers (and families) that for generations have been the first line of defence against any naval based warfare on the eastern seabord of the empire.

They have always been run by genral Seaghast. A strict man with much power, but little influence over the provinces of the empire. His recent greatest victory in polotics for the colony was he got them new uniforms...

Infact he only managed to get them Purple tops/coats to replace their old white ones...

The people where not pleased with this and it was the final straw. they rallied against the general under the commandings of the local wizard who was stationed with them, (name undecided) who rose against the general and has begun to lead the angry peoples accross the mainland in a secret quest to find the Great Lady Of The Lake, kill her and capture her esscence for his own miss doings. the people of hellblau beleive they are on a quest for redemption and are keen to find the town taht the wizard will lead them to so they can settle down to an ordinaryu liefe of farm work and retirement after a lifetime of solitude and soldiery.

So, Now you have some background... heres a picture of the 1st 2 models.

The banner bearer has now since been completed but this was it when i had to stop painting and get photos.

And Finally for all you terrain buffs reading (i think anyway...)

Ive got my birdhouse that im going to make into a cottage for fantasy, but i picked up from my local "Boyes" a model WW2 bridge and british tank.

Im going to stuck and paint the bridge up and do the tank as area terrain and wreck it. but it come with ALOT of bitss for detail which i can use in the future on other parts

So ill start posting pics for that too.

So yesterday i got to painting my storm talon... It looks pretty good if i do say so myself :-) (gaming quality after all)

I also started to paint my first 10 dark angels but ive learnt i cant highlight for s**t...

So instead ive gone for a simpler approach and have dropped the highlighting in favour of:

Caliban grren.
Nuln oil
Caliban green
Beil tan shade.

Not had a look yet but hopefully they should look good when finished :-D

Anyway. Ill get more of them done later.

Sobheres my side project/dark angels so heres my forst 500pts WIP still got a whule to go.
