Check the fantasy range. You might find something like that with the Wood Elves or Empire.

Ok just did a quick search.

The Empire Archers come with a dead Owl. If thats any use to you

The Giant kit has a Vulture AND what appears to be some form of Raven/Crow. Its sitting on his left shoulder.

Dunno how big it will be compared to a Marine but there it is.

Hi Deathclad,

I have been using the Dark Eldar Razorwing miniatures on my Ravenwing Bikers. You get 4 in a blister, 2 single ravens and 1 pair (as you can see in the pic below). I think they fit the concept perfectly ;-)

I actually was going to do exactly the same conversion, I just haven't had a chance yet. My plan was to use the standard biker arm, heat up and close the fist, then attach one of the single ravens. To prepare the raven you would need to fill the hole for the flying base with green stuff and let it cure, then drill into it so you can pin the raven to the closed fist. I'll work on it tonight and over weekend so you can see what it looks like. If it doesn't work you can at least avoid my pratfalls!

What about the raven from Njal Stormcaller?

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

Okay, so I gave the conversion a go over the weekend and it turned out alright. The finished product was a little bit different to how I pictured it in my head, but that's just how conversions go sometimes.

Here are the steps:

1) Fill the hole in the bottom of the raven with green stuff and leave it to cure for 24ish hours.
2) Heat up the standard biker arm (the one that usually holds the handle bars) and close it a bit. There are lots of tutorials on how to heat up stuff, I'll let you pick one. I just dipped it in boiling water for a bit and used some slow, steady, brute strength. Never use a naked flame.
3) Drill a hole down through the wrist of the biker arm. This takes a bit of care, there isn't that much room. This will decide the angle that the raven is sitting at. You may want to do yours differently, so that the raven is actually perched on the hand instead of taking off.
4) Drill a hole in the cured green stuff.
5) Put a tiny ball of green stuff in the wrist hole and pin the raven to the fist. I used a flexible pin (steel wire for the purposes of posing). My pin is long to show the raven in flight leaving the fist, which seemed to suit the pose of the raven miniature better. Obviously, you may want to pin it flush to the fist instead.
6) Pin the standard biker arm to the biker body. I found that, with the addition of the raven, the arm was heavy and hard to fix to the body. Pinning the arm fixed that problem.
7) I glued the head on last, so that I could have it looking at the raven as it takes off. With the flexible pin I will be able to repose the raven slightly.

I hope this has given you some ideas regarding how to go about this conversion. Below are some pics to show some of the steps. I have one more little raven in my stash, which I am planning on having swoop under a landspeeder.

Good luck!!

Actually don't drill into it Green stuff some small legs around wire that you place inside and drill into the bikers arm so the wire can connect to the plastic.

If you didn't want to use the standard biker arm you could use the pointing arm from the command squad box. Anyway awesome idea, going to have to use this with my RW command squad to give it some more life.

That would definitely work, you just need to make sure that the legs are in proportion with the rest of the raven, i.e. very small. That would give you the raven perched on the arm that you can see in the Codex pic. I look forward to seeing the conversion when you get around to it. I know the feeling, so much painting and so little time
