Hello. Do anybody have a good convertion for the voidraven bomber?

I wait for the official model, shouldn't take that long.
Other than that, any Batwing (and one Batboat) will do.

I think that Kroot meant that the Razorwing (batwing) or Ravager (bat-boat) would be suitable proxies until the actual kit comes out. Honestly I'd imagine it is fairly similar to the Razorwing...

Batwing (AMT/Revell):

Batwing (Tsukuda):

Batskiboat (AMT/Revell):

And, as said, I expect the original GW model (larger, probably glass cabin with gun in front) within 6 months. Was delayed due to production problems.

Kroot, its funny you mention the Batwing, because the DarkEldat player in our group just bought a converted bommer that was indeed made form that very batwing. It really mostly needs a repaint and some DE guns here and there and thats it. I was looking at it while he finished up a game and about 20 minutes later I asked myself..."wait a tic....is that a batwing?" And it certainly was

So yes, I agree with Kroot, because Ive seen it first hand, they DEFINITELY fit in with a DE army. The problem is though, its a bit large, so maybe find some FW rules for bigger jets as well?

Ultimately, the best conversions I've seen have kitbashed 2 Razorwing kits like these:

It's a fair bit of work, and personally I'm waiting for the kit atm, but at the end of the day - I hope the kit looks as good as these do.

That's definitely an improvement over what I see at my LGS, our DE player proxies a p-51 mustang model that is about 3" long and has a 3" wingspan as both fliers.

No one likes him.

How about using a FW Phoenix?

I'd personally refuse to play him till he stopped effectively cheating, using a model that's basically 1/3 the size of the actual model...
Is it even on the correct flying base?

I mean, there's using Counts-as or conversion (and frankly... making an army out of airfix kits would actually be pretty cool), but you have to keep the 'footprint' about the same. Just using a model a fraction of the size is modeling for advantage in the truest sense.

No, it's mounted on a CD. the really fun part is the fact that he doesn't only use it as the Voidraven/Razorwing, he also uses it as the Helldrake, the Valkyrie/Vendetta, and the Doomscythe/Nightscythe.

And I agree, converting/counts as is okay in my book, I personally wouldn't have a problem if he would buy at least one of the fliers and used it as a "counts-as". Oh, he also uses a 1/100 scale Gundam kit as a daemon prince.

1/100 is probably about the right size at least... still, he sounds like either the worst kind of lazy, budget gamer, or someone playing for advantage...

Oh, he definitely is lazy. But, seeing as how we are going off topic, I'm going to make a separate discussion for this so the mods don't get mad.

I'm waiting for the offical model. I understand that it looks really cool, but of course, nobody other than studio staff have actually seen it. :(

So in the mean time, the double Razorwing conversion as shown above are the best I've seen, but it sure seems like a ton of work.

I'm hoping the offical model doesn't look too much like a Razorwing. Beceause if it does it really will make you wonder why they just didn't turn the Razorwing kit into a dual purpose kit.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

Mostly becaus of the size difference - the Voidraven is meant to be 50%ish larger (if not almost twice the size) of its fighter counterpart.
