I've updated my blog with a tutorial on turning a regular SM head into a Pre-Heresy 'T' pattern helmet...
I have no idea what mark they are. I think Khorne Beserkers like to use this type of helmet...
Good if you want some variety in your SM army (loyalist or traitor).

I did this with my Pre-heresy models a few years back. Didn't look quite as good, but it got across the idea...

I took it off this model....Butchered it is a more accurate assessment.
I would however buy the crests from Anvil Industry if I were you.

Too true . I saw a Boba Fett conversion on Dakka a couple of weeks back, but I can't find a link for it.
Doing those crests in green stuff looks possible.
