Its been a long process of collecting, trading, painting, commissions, and bean counting... I call them my Blue Party Crashers (I have another 1k+ of Crimson Fists with Pedro that come along too sometimes). Sorry about camera work, my iPhone is as good as I got.

After hearing that they were called the blue party crashers i was a little apprehensive. No need to be, one word AWSOME, no seriously this is really impressive and the fact that they are all painted to a good quality

Just a guestimate, but between 14,000 and 16,000 points? The veterans, Honour Guard, and terimators add up fast. Almost every vehicle has some magnetized options, so there will be variance depending on load out.

Also, to clarify: to me they ARE Ultramarines, just the typical DP 2.5 list I runs tends to ruin people's parties, so I call them party crashers, but that's not some bazaar chapter name.

Thats 14,744 points as typically used, barely breaks 15,000 with reasonable options added (no homers for everyone, or the like).

I take it the black Rhino is the ride for a Chaplain?

The only thing I don't care for are the (mostly) red LR and Rhino - I'm sure you have your reasons, but they are an eyesore, IMO.

Well my reason is that they float between my Crimson Fists and my Ultras (along with 2 drop pods), my excuse is that the LR used to be my MotF's ride and the Rhino carried my Techmarine and servitors around, but with 6th I've not done either in a while.

If I add two or three more units, what am I needing?

Vindicators, one or two more Stormtalons... a Thunderhawk.

I have another Stormtalon built and base coated + a Stormeagle in the same condition. I would love a Thawk someday, but that is some serious scratch. I have a small finished Crimson Fist force, which includes another Vindicator. I occasionally have them work in tandem with my UM.

This isn't WAAC-you've got the right wargear, who cares what they're painted as-if you want to play them as another codex, it doesn't matter what they're painted as-dudes with bolters are dudes with bolters. Paint them however you want them to look-if you like the look of ultramarines but want to play DA rules, that's fine (one of the better points of MEQ IMO-I just swap the codex not the minis)

I suggest 5 scout bikes, more vanguard w jump packs and more tac terminators. All work well with pod lists.

I really am thinking about those scout bikes

They are good. Three GLa, T5, speed and of course the locator.

I took 5 and their primary job was to survive till turn 2, which they did every time.
