Ok, So this is a prototype for my own variant of the Broadsides.
I still feel as if it is still to sleek for its long legs. Any good ideas?

The pose of the over all model isnt that dynamic and gives a hint it is going to trip. A way to fix that is widen the feet, and also bulk up the legs towards the feet so you have a triangle type deal. thing like ^. That way the wider feet will also give the illusion of a much more sturdy stance when wielding such a weapon. Not even really make the feet wider that is optional, but you do have to thicken the ankle area and shin to justify the weight in my opinion.

Not wanting to be a hater but it sort of looks like your just not wanting to fork out the cash for real broadsides, I'd just. buy the bs model and start your mods from there

Kinda Yes, And i do not want to wait 4 weeks for shipping.
But maybe you are kinda right. The Railgun does looks stupid.
I will consider it.

I wanna go back to New Jersey

The legs look a bit too stiff from the front. The side view is much better. Maybe a bend in the back-knees or making them more apparent from the front will make it look better. I do like the rest of the model though

In answer to the ball joints been stuck in there. Cut them and use green stuff... And the railgun could be improved by details... It curently looks like a lego rail gun...

Im thinking of either buying an upgrade kit, or buy some square plastic tubing for the gun.

I will see if I can help a bit.

Your execution of the basic construction is pretty spot on, just one thing I do before ever gluing is test fitting and use a little putty to help pose the legs and limbs.

I have found turning the leg ball joints out and slightly to the side helps alot in posing, the problem with having them in close is they end up looking a bit "knock knee " in stance.

And as far as your railgun assembly, its a little to large to maintain a scale balance, I usually err on the side of smaller and scale up as nessicary, and for the "barrel" area I used a " I " bean style plastic strut and bulked it out with plastic stips on top and bottom.

I will try and assist in anyway possible if you decide to attempt a rebuild or modify the current, as I said looks pretty good for a first attempt, better than mine did

Well is glued on very tight. So i might just chock this one up to a learning experiance and try my best to make this one look functional and see what I can do better with the nest one
Im going to see about getting the broadside upgrade kit and see what i can do with it.
I removed to rail guns and used pulse carbines chopped up for leg armor. Will post pics later of it.

Ok, Update. I totally redid the Railgun.
It looks nice, like he is at rest with it. and it isn't cumbersome
And the legs looks nice, i just have to armor thme up some more and do something with the shoulders.
And what name should i call it "Cyclops" or "DragonsBane"

Its nice and understandably a rail gun but for some C & C

The gun still looks a little blocky and not enough detail
You could scy some panel lines or if you can add the circular detail like the rail rifles on pathfinders.
Also the rear of the gun doesn’t seem substantial for the length though that is just my personal opinion

Maybe a large rail slug ammo box and power cables to the suit it self could be added.

Though the legs are permanently affixed you could try to bolster it up with plasticcard and make it look a bit more substantial. (i never liked the chicken leg look of tau broadsides =/)

Edit: also its a little tall, mabye trim it down a bit on the legs
