First time I'm posting my pictures on a forum, just thought it would be better asking a hobbyist's community their opinion rather than ask my wife (who gives an annoyed sigh everytime I place a Blood Angel in front of her eyes lol).

So here goes some pictures of an assault squad from the Thorn Shapers a successor chapter of the estimed Blood Angels.

Beautiful work. The purple spot colour over the red really works well in this scheme.

Top notch work sir. The only crit I could give is. The grey base is very uniform. Maybe but some brown into the shading to give a more natural feel.

to vim_the_good: I will definitely keep that in mind about the base. It's true that altough the grey brings out the red of the armour, it could use a bit more contrast. Definitely something to work on for the next batch. Unfortunately at the rate I'm painting them Thorn Shapers that won't be anytime soon . Tough that half finished Techmarine has been starring at me for quite some time now...

I have a feeling that adding brown to the shading may reduce the contrast between model and base. Brown is acromatic, but quite warm. Maybe just some tiny patches of straw coloured static grass would break it up, without unbalancing the scheme. Anway, looking forward to seeing some more as well!

But to be fair I guess I would have the same reaction if she would ask my opinion all the time about her knitting though...
