Anyone else find it funny that everything else in the picture is clearer than the actual object he was taking a picture of?

Nothing funny about it, the further I hold the captain away the more impossibe it is to see it (and no, am not saying its possible to see it even close up ) Why would i blur a picture that I would like feedback on?? Next time i'll wait for the mrs iphone......

Rule number one when taking close up photos of something: DO NOT HOLD THEM. Unless you have a perfectly steady hand (which is not humanly possible), your chances of taking a blurry picture are very high. Set the item on a steady surface (so it doesn't move), put something flat behind it (so it forces the camera to focus on the object), and if possible use a tripod or something similar to keep the camera steady.
Secondly, don't waste your time or ours by posting a worthless picture. The mini could be absolutely stunning for all we know! I am not trying to be mean, but it is impossible to give you the feedback you want with a picture as blurry as that. You even asked the question yourself;
"why would I blur a picture that I would want feed back on?

It is a good question, but why would take a picture that blurry and then ask for feedback on it?

And some, I assume, are good people."

two words, macro setting....

that means it will auto focus on objects that are (for a camera) extremely near....

but if i where you i would ask a mod to delete this thread by reporting it yourself seeing you got your better picture up already
