Hey guys, I started this Warhound Titan about a month ago, it is my first Forgeworld model that I have ever done. I have some pics that I took of it that I wanted to share...I modeled the paint scheme after another Warhound that I found online. I normally paint Black Templars and my first instinct is to always paint things black and then do highlights but I felt like this was too simple for such a beautiful model. Instead I decided to go red...the only problem was that I don't own an airbrush...so all of this painting is 100% by hand, no airbrush whatsoever.

The plan is to have him around for awhile for a few games of Deathwatch and apocalypse and then sell him back to someone who can enjoy him as much as i have enjoyed painting him. I will probably then invest in an airbrush with the profits (I got him on the cheap) and do another one that I'll actually keep. Anyway I hope you guys like. I'll post some more proper pictures at a later time when I have access to a better camera. I was just too excited to NOT post these pics though

I also plan on adding a proper base soon

That is amazing. I love the red and grey paint scheme. I have seen none like it. Great work!

Very nice mate. Would this by any chance be the titan you used the colour off?

Very nice paint job! I love titans. I have my warhound painted red as well. After the Legio Matalica, they fought with the Black Templars on the 2, and 3 war for armageddon. Still have to do some additional painting to mine yet tho.

well they do say 'immitation is the highest form of flattery' and I have to say (if Truffle is correct) that I'm chuffed someone liked mine enough to copy the pattern.

@brothervord: just to let you know the origional was hand-painted too; took me 5 months to build an paint

It was indeed the pattern that I used! Kudos to you for such a high quality and creative scheme.

You really got me to go outside my normal comfort zone with the pattern scheme...If I hadn't found it I would have been sorely tempted to do either a flat blue (since it's so much easier to get smooth coverage) or gone black like usual. I liked the pattern enough to try it out though. It's my first time using taped off sections to get a different effect. I know it's a pretty common technique but I generally stay away from painting anything bigger than an independent character
