Still playing around with colors in general and taking my first stabs at smoother layering. Definitely a lot to improve on, but this is a step forward for me.

I think he needs a trim on his coat, though. What color would fit well, do you think? I was toying with a gold or dark yellow. Maybe a deep red. There's no scheme it needs to fit, it's just whatever would look nice.

Well, take cues from your other soldiers. Gold would be nice, red can work, and yellow is fine too. My personel vote though is for gold, but a dark yellow fits the darker theme I am seeing in this army so it will blend better.

My suggestion is for a deep red.

I take my inspiration from the dark green with red trim dress uniforms of both UNIT from Dr Who and those worn at ceromonies in the Chineese Army.

I'm leaning towards a dull goldish color right now, but I'll check out those references to see if they hit me. I'm just a little wary of slapping red and green together, but maybe that's just the Christmas burnout setting in early.
