Subject: Abaddon Kit-Bash - Please Leave A Quick Comment Of What You Think

I am kit-bashing my own Abaddon model from an old Chaos Terminator Lord and some bits. I haven't done many kit-bashes and this first time stripping a model for re-use.
This is what I started with and it was one of my first models I painted ( And pretty badley at that )
After my first attempt at stripping and some of the major conversion work I ended up with this. To strip the paint just used a tooth brush and dipped it into some Isopropynl alcohol and scrubbed him for a while, no soaking for days in stuff just good old elbow grease
A quick walk through. To make the Talon Of Horus I used a right hand Lightning Claw from the Chaos Terminator Lord sprue, then cut up two Chaos Space Marine Bolt Pistols and glue then onto the Claw after flattening the back of the Claw hand. I glued the pistols together and then onto the Claw. I used Green Stuff to fill gaps. I then made the ammo supply from the Storm Bolter off a Dreadnought. Cutting the ammo belt down to fit and Green Stuffing the gaps and such.
Drach'nyen was made from the Axe from the Chaos Terminator Lord kit and just cut off the axe and left the handle. I then cut the handle off a Bloodletter sword and attached that to the axe handle.
I then primed his Vallejo Panzer Grey and then matt coated him. After that I then dry brushed him heavily with Adeptus Battle Grey, then dry brushed him Fortress Grey and then lightly dry brushed him with white mixed with what grey was left of the brush. I then matt coated again. I am waiting for him the dry completely before I was him with Nuln Oil very heavily.
Tell me what you think.

Cut the sword and the claw of actual abaddon and stick it onto termie lord. Also maybe remove the ab's head and make it ur termie's lord's face, just maybe do something about the face. Seems a bit to bland IMO.

Yes but then you would have the problem of actually using Failadons arms. Notorious for being way to heavy and not sticking no matter how much glue you use. (Hence the name Failadon.) A plasic kitbash is always better.
Aside from the Khone symbol on the hilt of the sword those 2 arms look pretty damn good imo. Of course the topknot could be bigger. But thats only a minor nitpick. Because you know... whats Abbadon without a massive topknot.

I have the original metal Abaddon which would make it a pain and I don't like the look of the Talon and Drach'nyen on the current model. The sword is to thick looking. Also Abaddon actual head is to big to fit into a Terminator body lol. IXLoiero95XI Automatically Appended Next Post: True his top not is like an inch long

He's Finecast now so the arms aren't that heavy.
Are you going to do trophy racks?

Yeah I am, but not sure which ones. Either the the ones with the Tyranid head and the Dark Angles head. or the bare ones as nothing is worthy for Abaddon's trophy rack.
