Hi guys,

I'm starting a new army for 2013, Daemons for WFB. I've pre built most of my Bloodletters to the stage where i'm about to start painting and i'm just trying to finalise colour schemes. For their Hellblades, i was all for having them look like red hot pokers, but then i watched this video by BuyPainted! in which he does a more traditional force weapon look. Now it's getting close to painting i can't decide so i'm looking to Dakka to help me out. I've attached a pic of some test weapons to see what i'm meaning. Bear in mind that these are rough, there's some spatter, and my masking wasn't dead straight either.

This is also the first time i've used my airbrush for something other than basecoating or varnishing so i need to get a bit more practice in before i start on the 'letters.

Also, not too sure if the red>yellow is the way to go as that may get lost amongst the red of the bloodletters, maybe green>white?

I would suggest a mixture of the two, so the gradient from the right hand one but with one side brighter than the other so it looks less flat.
Both are pretty snazzy though

I voted for the RHP style. I think it's just more astheticly suited to Daemons. If you had Iron warrior Daemons then i might be more inclined to the force weapons style though.

Yeah, i figured daemons and fantasy deserved some torture-y style goodness.
