So I've only been playing 40k for a couple of months, and I've been slowly learning how to paint and model whenever school permits me. I figured if I started posting my WIP/finished models on here it would motivate me to finish and help me learn more to make better models. After all, painted models roll better. Here are some of the Iron Warriors that have been nominated my first squad to finish. They're just normal CSMs with no bolters but CCWs, but naturally Iron Warriors need some sort of vessel for hazard stripes, and what better vessel than a shield? I'll be putting more on here as I go along. Any tips and criticisms are welcome, no need to squander a chance to learn.

Also, the Champion is the only finished one here, I'm just starting the rest of the squad.

Here are some updates to what I'm working on. I was having a hard time staying focused and motivated this weekend. I kind of went from model to model but unable to finish most of them. These are all WIP even though some are close to being done.

They are looking fantastic. The powersword just made my eyes fall out, that is totally amazing, its so vibrant and full of colour.

I agree about the power sword! I've been thinking about using a similar tone on power weapons of my own. Mind sharing what colors you used? IW's are looking tough and good!

Thanks, I used the Vallejo Ivory, Warlord Purple (Light Puprle/Pink) and Royal Purple (Dark Purple). I think next time I'm going to trade the Royal Purple for the Hexed Lichen because its a little lighter and won't have as much contrast between the two colors. I'm having a hard time with the Chaos Aspiring Champion Power Sword bits because they don't have as much of a definition between the two different sides of each sword so they're a little harder to tape off. The GK swords are much better for this. I'm still trying to figure out how to paint the power maul those colors.

I had to move recently, my apartment was broken in to. Luckily I was there and they were unable to get anything or mess up my painting room. I just got settled into my new apartment and here are some of the Iron Warriors that have been added to my force. Also my packages from Anvil Industries and Puppetswar came in. So I will be extremely busy over spring break.

So many great ideas for my own IWs, the Warsmith looks really badass. And the Havoc is very cool.

Nice conversions and the paint style works quite well.

I've been busy with a lot of stuff lately, haven't been able to give my Iron Warriors as much love as they needed. Especially because I was adding a traitor guard detachment for them. But here are some of the things I've been working on lately.

A terminator and his hazard stripes.
Warsmith Lopt or Counts as Abaddon that is is getting closer to completion.
Missile launcher Havoc. Iron Warriors Cultist (ARC Drone from Anvil Industries).
Techmarine if I decide to run my Iron Warriors as Space Marines, I'll need this guy.
Autocannon marine (Anvil Industries for the Autocannon and Head bit).
Champion with power maul.
And my work in progress de-spiked land raider with dozer blades from Kromlech.
I recently went through and stripped and disassembled many of my Iron Warriors to make them look more cohesive, I got rid of the 30 different helmets and heads I used to have and de-spiked most things.

Been a while since I posted, sorry. Here are 2 new Champions/Lords and a Heldrake with an Imperial officer surrendering and giving intel (a map) to his Iron Warrior captor (and probably executioner). My girlfriend has a much steadier hand than mine and did the lightning effects on the power axe, I think I'm going to switch to blue for my plasma/power weapons. It looks much better in my opinion.

Just finished my Dreadnought (I'd rather not call it a helbrute).
