So my wife wanted to have her nids painted to resemble roses.

Her back story is a small solar system rich in plant life spawned a small fleet of tyranids that are beautiful (but deadly).

I started with the fex mostly because it's a large canvas as a test model.

It's still a WIP but I am pleased with how it's coming along. Had to put the brushes down for a while too, so this is my first go on any model for a few montha and second go at nids. Painted to tabletop standard.

Thanks. Definitely green needs more highlighting. I only did the carapace first as the test, now the body. I might go with an interesting wrist to the green and highlight it in vines, like camo.

There is only the base and first layer of highlight.on it so far.
