I've got a DW Army (pure DW, nothing but Terminators) that I'm painting up to travel with, as my job often has me flying to different states. So I needed a small, easily transportable army.

What color should I paint the icons on these storm shields? I was thinking either red, with metallic trim, or metallic with red trim. Other options include green, white (meh), or something else. Thoughts???

Get some of the new(ish) GW metallic brass colours in there I reckon. They're great for deathwing

You don't want too much red in there; they will start looking like Christmas terminators. The old Tin Bitz, when washed and highlighted properly, would look good. Otherwise, I would paint them as they look in the banners, green robes with white wings. This takes a lot longer, but is another way of doing the detail justice.

Yup, white for the wings (everywhere, not just the shields), presuming that your main 'bone' colour isn't so pale that white would look too similar.

And green does make sense for any robed figure icons, i.e. matching the robes the termes wear. Although a dark grey could also look good, presuming it doesn't accidentally look too RavenWing.
