Not, sure what you mean by transition the RPG is being done by a different company, across the channel. Using their own in house system modified for a Infinity feel.

How will they link the factions into working together? What's the plot? Who are the players supposed to be?

Will we just be trouble shooters in a shadowrun without the magic type thing?

Foxtrot and Marauders are needed. Maverick is ok but could easily be pushed back.

Modiphius has indicated that there will be a system whereby you will be able to translate RPG characters to tabletop, and vise versa.

From what was said, it's not going to be super balanced. It's more there for casual players to have fun translating their characters, nothing ITS sanctioned.

Cool stuff coming, but I don't see the purpose of making a box for the Domaru. There's only 2 profiles, really, so why not just make it a 2-figure blister? I'm curious if they're actually going to include all of those weapon options with a single Drone box. I would really like that Hunzakut though. She looks great.

Because Domaru are AVA5 and Linkable in JSA...?

They're also pretty weedy for HI and they're considered a staple for JSA players.

I'm curious if they're actually going to include all of those weapon options with a single Drone box.

Remotes(which Drones are) usually have come with most if not all the options available to them.

Bostria also mentioned at Interplanetary that there will be a "surprise" in the box, which nobody knows what that will mean. Whether it means that the E Drone will be present or that there will be a Tinbot profile or what is unknown.

5-man template HI squads seem like overkill. So, I assume we'll probably see the usual 4 figure box with 2 male sculpts and 2 female sculpts. Probably have male and female with shotty and male and female with chain rifles? I'd think we'll see at least one waving a sword around.

Well, there could be more profiles coming for the Domaru, but yeah as Kanluwen said, they're AVA 5 in JSA. Or, maybe 3+ Tinbot, and a Tinbot profile coming?

Well, considering Domaru are a Human Sphere unit and Human Sphere is going to see an update soon--and this resculpt is to bring them in line with the Domaru character?

I wouldn't be surprised to see alterations to the Domaru's potential profiles.
I would however be surprised to see less katana. It's one of the few units where it makes a heck of a lot of fluffy sense for them to be waving swords.

Basic Remote boxes come with enough bits to build two of the four available types. Usually, two types share a bit, though, so there's some pairs you can't make from a single box. Buy two boxes and you can make one of each.

On a different track, I'm a little surprised to see the Domaru's unit badge unchanged. All the Yu Jing units in the 3rd edition rulebook got new badges.

With the Jannisary box, they made 2 new profiles - Missile Launcher and Boarding Shotgun + Tinbot. I wouldn't be surprised to see new profiles in the Domaru box, even if it's only a combi rifle.

I'm gonna have to watch the stock of the original CA drones and make sure it doesn't start dwindling. I have to get a pair before they're usurped by these silly non-tentacled non-floating barely creepy drones.

Tru dat! I'm happy to have bought an extra pack, so I'm good now. The old ones are way more impressive imo.
Still curious for the actual miniatures though.

SMGs might be interesting for Domaru. Doesn't exactly give them a long ranged option so they still have their weakness but gives them a little more variety.

They don't even need any more profiles even if it's a 4 man box. Haqqislam has 2 4 model boxes for units with 2 loadouts. Naffatun with 2 Rifle+HFT and 2 Rifle+LFT, and Ghazi with 1 Chain rifle, 1 Boarding Shotgun, and 2 proxies using their E-Marat/Jammer.

I mean, I totally wouldn't be shocked to see another profile in a Domaru box, but they don't need to. Going the route of the Ghazi would work fine - 1 with a Chain Rifle, 1 with a shotgun and 2 with swords out. They could get some pretty badass looking poses with big, chunky HI with big, chunky future katanas.

I actually think the current Domaru sculpts are pretty good! They certainly wouldn't be near the top of my list of things that could do with a re-sculpt.

Although, seeing the concept art for the new ones does make me enthusiastic about what they are going to turn out like.

I really wish CB would hurry up with some of the more interesting new Haqq stuff, like the Govads, Zhayedan and new Khawarijs.

I appreciate that they're resculpting old stuff to bring them up to par with new models, but inserting some of the interesting new stuff would make releases much more interesting.

I mean, this month is the Hunzakut, which is fantastic and a model I want, but I'd have jumped even more for a box of Govads.

User mr7q on the official Infinity forums posted the following from the Nova seminar last night:

Nothing too crazy in last night's seminar, Bostria's Gencon seminar covered most of the new info. That said, I always love hearing Interruptor's take on things, as it's always a new perspective, and I'm always really eager to see the views of the people who make something are on their own product.

A few things that I noticed that may not have been covered in the Gencon brief:

Fireteam Duo designed to get people moving across the board. No bonuses, only movement (not new news, I believe). Some Vanilla factions will have access to it, but only through yet unspecified combos, but will be somewhat limited in that regard.
Evo hackers self fulfill requirement to bring remotes. Caliedoscope helps hackers, Overclock helps repeater remotes, Reboot helps HI/REM/Hackers and Teampro helps fireteams. No specifics added.
Combined EVO has an extra program like the hacking devices do, also unspecified
Avicenna availability to factions being revisited. May see her across many more factions soon.
Onyx Force consists of Sygmaa, Unidrons, and Umbra. Aspects not invited to the party, so no "Hello, glad to meet you, I'm an Avatar."
HVT models of the RPG exclusive models to be released with different arms. Ariadna HVT will have a troop profile as well down the line, and his HVT box will have arms to make both models.
Mobile Brigada Hacker and Missile Launcher confirmed. No Tinbot option in the box set.
Stingray TAGs likely to be sold in same box, with parts to make either Uhlans or Tikibalangs.
Seraph no longer a Stingray TAG, will be better, more expensive, keeps Auxbot, and release is imminent.

.There was also a lot of background detail regarding the story of Infinity, Corvus Belli's history and future, and other conversations that are a lot harder to put into bullet points, so in the interest of not misrepresenting anything to the fanatic peat, I'll let someone slightly better at paraphrasing handle the details of those nuggets...

I still don't get how the Seraph is no longer a Stingray TAG when the art for the three of them shown at GenCon has them still based on the exact same chassis.

The seraph didn't exactly fulfil much of a role you couldn't get one of several MO HI to do either, so upping the power level on that one is probably for the best.
AFAIK the general consensus among MO players was that seraph would be cool for the TAG factor, but not exactly something you'd bring because you want to win a tournament that day.
If this means the seraph will actually bring something to the table that a sectorial which isn't exactly popular for ITS use to begin with (AFAIK) might currently be lacking, that sounds like a good idea to me.
Now let's just hope it's not just 'moar firepower!!1!'; MO has plenty of that as it is.

But they literally just showed us the pieces of art where they're the same chassis. Why show us the art so recently, they must've known then that the Seraph wasn't the same type of TAG, but the art clearly shows they are.
