*Front Page Overhaul*

Hey, my name is Axel and this is my Dakkadakka blog. I will be posting all my progress in here, from my entries to painting competitions, to random conversions I wanted to make. I am a (hopefully) decent painter/converter. I'm quite young, and that's one of the reasons my painting skills might not be up to par to everyone else's on Dakkadakka, but I think I'm getting there. So please comment on my work and feel free to comment and give me some constructive criticism, I would appreciate it!

So, here is a small filler, I have been painting up my Eldrad in the color scheme of my craftworld.
Also I still need to build 6 corsairs.

And apparently I have run out of glue. The only thing I could make after these pics is gluing the gun to the hand :/

So here is the "finished" dragon phoenix. (only need to gloss the gems and cockpit).

Thanks I will be trying to Post more pics on all my stuff. Will be taking some pics on my Solomon Lok model after Saturday. I will be posting some pics of my Shadow Spectres, Warp Hunter, Eldar Corsairs, my custom Eldar Corsair Heavy weapon conversion. Also hope to be posting pics of my Contemptor Dread and my new War Walker.

So as promised a few pics of my Solomon Lok. Also I did some freehand on the Dragon Phoenix, and an Eldar corsair i've been working on.

Those are great paintjobs for any age gamer. If you keep tackling complex color schemes like this and practice you'll be at competition level in short-order.

Soo this is whats in line, I'm probably going to buy a new Irillyth model and Paint it up in my corsair color scheme or, the normal white, but I really want to practice freehanding. I also need 3 Razorwings to turn into Nightwings (was thinking of getting the Razorwing Murder Squadron). Also I will probably need to get some Wasps and about 3 Hornets.

So only a small update today, A few pics of my Corsair Felarch/Prince, some freehand work and a better pic of solomon lok. Enjoy!

Well another day...errr few days? Another post. Sorry for not being able to post for a while, I have been busy with other stuff. So heres wht ive been working on for a few days, My 2nd Corsair Prince WIP. Enjoy!

Well i'm back from a long break on doing 40k, new stuff is coming up soon! Kinda ironic that I got Lazy just when I was told not to... Well anyhow, I've been doing work on my Relic Contemptor, I'm trying to get it to my local GW's Young Fang comp. Its on the 17th so I decided to finish it. Also I just finished converting my Eldar Avatar, I had to chop his hand in 2 and reposition it, and Greenstuff the face into a more of a Samurai Mask. I didn't fancy the normal Eldar Avatar Face. Also made a Custom base for him. I'm hoping to someday get the WraithKnight and Paint it, I love the design on it. So hopefully not too long until I can get new content on the thread!

So here is the promised Avatar in its early stages of progress. Its Only assembled right now. Hope you enjoy! The contemptor is coming soon.

Hey, thanks for the kind words I really appreciate it. The contemptor is slowly progressing but nothing worth making a separate post about. The Avatar is progressing nicely. These pictures are older ones, I kinda ruined the face by trying to fix it, (one of my problems, even though something is fine I want to make it look better and end up failing at it and ruining it) So I ended up having to make a new face for him. You shall see it very soon. So in the meanwhile here's my Eldar Avatar.

And once again as irony has lent it's power, I immediately got lazy when I'm told not to get lazy. Well anyways, I've decided to change the craftworld/corsair band name to Void Spectres, previously Void Knights. Also I've been working on some interesting stuff indeed, including Eldar Wraithguards/Wraith blades, some Eldar Jetbikes, A Warmachine figure (works as an Eldar sniper hq fella who's name I can't recall) and you guessed it MORE Corsairs! Also I'm thinking about getting a WraithKnight.

Well I got home and here are some pics I took from the models, I can't be bothered to put them in a specific order so here they are!
Including my 3 wraithguards, my Jetbike, my Corsair Prince that has had some work done to it, and my Warmachine figure.

Well here are some filler pictures until I get progress done on my other minis, also I decided to spend some Xmas cash and got ordered myself a WraithKnight, the new Eldar Codex (not that new any more, but I never picked it up) and Kabuki Models, Steam Knight model, because I just like how it looks and I would like to paint it. So here they are.

well I ran out of attachment slots, so I have to put the rest here.

I now present a question since I am in quite a pickle. I really need to choose which color scheme I should choose, I was going to go with a Bumblebee color (Black/Dark Grey + Bright Yellow) Or my older color scheme that I used on my Jetbike, Or my So called Spectre Color Scheme (Black/Dark Grey + Some White Armor Plates + Green Gems, Energy weapons etc.), So what do you guys think? I would really appreciate your opinion. This Color Scheme will at least go for my Future Color Spectres (the Black/White/Green) and Irillyth (going to get another one), Mainly I'm asking because Yellow is a pain in the ass to paint. And I ordered a WraithKnight, and It should be coming next week. I made a test model (my WraithGuard) and I tried the Bumblebee Scheme, I did the Yellow with an Airbrush, and I think I did Ok for a first try, but I still think I should do a couple more test models before I try anything drastic like painting a wraithknight in that color scheme. But the Base line of this update is: Help me choose a Color Scheme! Thanks

Well I took some pictures of my Kabuki Model Miniatures, The Dark Knight, and the Steam Knight, Dark Knight: It has only been Base Coated + Pre Highlighted it with an airbrush. The Steam Knight has been Pre Highlighted + The base Color and the Gold is almost done, the Blade of the Scythe is also done.

I just got a post slip that said I can pick up my wraithknight today, well while I was waiting I decided to make a scythe for the wraithknight but I'm not sure If it is the correct size, and I got some excess glue on the blade (might need some fine sand paper) I anyways need more plasticard and and I think I should redo the blade. So what do you think about the blade?

And the blade apparently has magically been broken now, ohh well I guess I do need to get more plasticard and make a 5 thicker blade too

I finally went and bought some 3 mm thick Plasticard, and a thicker rod (no dirty thoughts here), and realized that I don't really have the tools at home to shape it properly (I spent a few hours on a blade and realized it was the wrong shape) So I'm waiting till Monday till I get hands on some better equipment, because my Wraithknight is actually also my Techincs project, and I am allowed to use all the tools and gadgets in the techincs class, So I can use a Saw to cut out the shape of the blade, use a hobby knife/sand paper to smooth the edges, make the Blade edge with sand paper, and drill the holes in the blade with either a hand drill or a bigger heavy weight drill, because I have access to bigger drill parts, atm I only have a 1mm Pin Vice at home so all of those tools might help speed up the process.

Wow! Very nice stuff! Like your colouring of the Eldars very much. It's really flashing me.
