So a few days ago I finally swallowed my Chaos Space Marine pride and started to collect and paint Space Marines. So after reading the codex and seeing some paint jobs, I tried to do Imperial Fists. Sadly though trying to paint them yellow turned into a massive nightmare. So I went with another Fist army and went Crimson Fists. Now i just need some tips to really make the models looks nice. ( Also forgot to mention this Army will be going with me to Adepticon next year)

He looks mighty fine to me. It might just be the light, but the white on his shoulder pad could use a very light glaze or wash to add a bit of depth. Continue fisting!

I was sure this was going to be an Emperor's Children thread...

The mini looks good, though I'd echo the comment about adding some depth to the pad.

IIRC normal marines only have the left fist red and vets/srgs have both red

I have half a mind to kill you, and the other half agrees

Looking good but as BewareOfTom says its one hand for normal marines and both for the veterans

I painted some crimson fist as one of my first commissions

Yeah I know about the fists being red. That guys is the Vet that's why I gave him the white shoulder pad. Kinda my own way of changing things up. So what wash should i use to do over the white?
Also What colors did you use for that terminator? He looks great!

I'm using a thined down version of Vallejo's Pale Gray wash:

Dirties the white and it isn't as agressive as Nuln Oil.
