I bought a set of 5 of these Terminators, I think they look great personally, and since I run a Draigo Death star a lot
(because I think its the most fun unit ever) lol
I figured I would buy 10 Cataphractii Terminators and use them as my Paladins...

So I used some bits so far from a GK strike squad box
Im not overly fond of the way the psycannons look and for powerswords I used the falchions
The stormbolters will have halberds for now, not on yet

Cool stuff, I Had been thinking the same thing, except I was going to use paladin heads in there.

Is this possible without drilling them out?

thanks for sharing!

I think you would have to make a little more room,
the heads that these come with are very small

I was also thinking of throwing on those GK should pad things as well but i don't want to go overboard...
I also am not sure what to do with the psycannons

I think the psycannons look fine, but then again, I am not seeing them in person - and what is most important is what you think about them.

Personally, I prefer the old style psycannons, but those are not easy to come by or convert.

thanks for sharing!

Which shoulder things, the tilt shields? I think those would look great on there, with all of the different heraldry on there, makes each model look unique to me.

Yeah Im going to try it out...

When I run my paladin Draigo unit its usually kitted like this:
3 Paladins with Psycannons and swords
1 paladin with psycannon and daemonhammer
1 paladin with brotherhood banner and stormbolter
1 apothecary with daemonhammer and narthecium
4 Paladins with halberds and storm bolters

so this is how I want to kit out my 10 Cataphractii

Consider running the apothecary with warding stave. Very useful.

I was thinking about it... I have the bit for the warding stave sitting next to the models right now

not a bad idea

In 5th, it was unstoppable, and in 6th's first few month's where Paladins were characters, it was a must take for me. It mwant you could use it to hold off the character while the rest of the squad butchere the squad, with minimal chance of death for your most valuable model.

Now, it is still as good as it was, particularly against models with all AP2 CC weapons. Normally they've taken Axes or Fists which reduce you to Int 1, but with a 2+ Invulnerable they gain nothing for Int 1 vs the Apothecary.

Also, if you are any good with Greenstuff, a small sughestion is to try and model 2 snakes wrapped around the stave if its on an Apothecary, in the symbol you see on medical staff and equipment.

This is exactly what I was thinking for my GK Palies. I love the Rouge Trader version of the force weapons that I went a head and made myself a 3D model of a revised force weapon with Build in SB. Here's the Link SciTech_PoleArms_v2n - I have a set of these on the way right now from Shapeways and will get a real picture once I get my prints. Oh and I am not expecting to drum up business I just wanted to share it with people if they wanted that style. I have a set of Swords w/ Built in SB that I need to do a test print on and see if they will print correctly.

I had the exact same idea. Athough I used my first and second Cataphractii for a terminator armoured Inquisitor and librarian. The inquisitor looks pretty much exactly like your psycannon guys. I'll see if I can find a picture this weekend.

The heads supplied are like half a head. If you chop off any helmet, taking the jawbone off, it'll fit into the cataphractii body. Problem is then there is a railing to cover a little more, so a lot of helmets end up looking like they are peering over the edge.

Honestly, I'd keep the supplied cataphractii helmets for running them as paladins. They are reasonably close in looks.

I'm quite happy with my Inquisitor, not so much my so-called librarian, but I've gotten really sick of painting lately, so I just got him table ready as fast as I could

I like that,
Also those halberds are sweet,
Ill get some more pictures up when I do a little more.. but it would be til the weekend

As for paint scheme,
I want to use a dark grey, non metallic
for the base colour of the armour, other than that I don't know if want to use red or blue

Thanks KonTheroy - Its been a labor of love to get those Halberds ready to print. I have to adjust the attachment for the blade some as its too thin and wont print correctly. If I can get them to print I will get them back up for people to buy some.
