I'm just gonna leave this here for all Eldar player who wish GW had release a new jetbike for eldar.

Note, I'm not sure how legal is this thing because it's pretty close to Jes unreleased sculpt.

It's a russian ebay seller called mrs-velard

Ah, mrs-velard is a known recaster of other company's (not just GW's) models. Presumably they aren't the original sculptor of that model, rather its from another third party company. However I do note that they've cut down substantially on the number of GW recasts that they have (lots of probably legitimate robogear though), but I guess that's more to do with a lull in their trading rather than doing away with them altogether.

So as ever with recasters, its your choice whether to risk your money or not. It'd recommend that anyone wanting that jetbike look for the original cast first though. ...Unless GW's already sent a cease and desist to the original caster. =/

It is weird, as recasting has never been something I supported, but it has never really bothered me either, but seeing that recast Harlequin Jetbike canopy annoys me.

Maybe it is because I own thirty-something of the real thing, and they were bloody expensive.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Personally I support it - as it's so, so old and rare now it gets ever harder and more expensive to acquire.

Currently the only ones I can find are in the region of £20-40 each, meaning to field a squad would be in the region of £200-500.
So I would love for someone to set up shop, selling these bits for £2-3, alternatively, I would buy 1 and cast the hell out of it myself (as I have done with other incredibly old, expensive parts / conversion I've done, like my classic Raider/Ravager weapons, that cost £8 each to make).

I only cast for myself, and NEVER sell or resell anything. I just couldnt wait for a unit to magically appear for me to buy on E-bay before next years Bugeater...

Mrs Velard has more business sense than GW so I won't fault him/her for it (The guy who responds is named Vladimir so..)

Lets see, you release a book which makes jetbikes amazing.. what do you do? Not release new jetbikes.

You make a codex which marines can ride incredibly powerful wolves.. what do you do? Not release thunderwolves.

GW has no idea the power level on some units they make.. luckily the Russians do and I can happily buy the units I need without resorting to TERRIBLE 1994 models.

Personally I think GW knows exactly what they're doing. They know how powerful certain units are, just take the Wave Serpent as an example, they just pulled it from distribution to independent stockists, so if you want one, you have to go direct! What a lovely way to do business.

they pulled the wave serpent from the GW shops too, so if you want one you need to order it from GW online.

thats just because they are not MAKING wave serpents at the moment. They are retooling the sprues for a Combined Falcon/Serpent kit for a 'stealth' price hike on the serpent everyone wants now. I heard that the reason they aren't in stores is because they don't want store shelves full of old stock when the new kit comes out in a few weeks/month(s).

Interesting, hadn't heard that! However, that's still GW being smart in knowing what's strong, what's weak and a way to make extra profit either way.

I'm from the future. The future of space

Anyone know who the sculptor is for the jet bike in the original post?

I think it looks pretty good. I've ordered some Russian plastic terrain from the eBay seller in question, so I know they're reliable.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
