Hey all

I have been meaning to make some shotguns for my vets in my IG army, however all I have is Catachan lasguns
which look like this-

Spoiler:

and the regular cadian lasgun looks like this-

Spoiler:

Now while it doesn't seem like a big difference, none of the conversions I have tried have worked, considering the smaller gun body length with the longer barrel.

So can anybody tell me what are some ways to convert shotguns using the catachan lasgun?

remove power pack, replace it with a rail, and put a slide on it. Cut off the thing which i assume is a focussing ring on the end of the gun barrel. The last bit is tricky. Add an ejector port over where the cartridge is. just carve a rectangle, so there's something for green stuff to bit into, put a small noodle into the groove, square it out, and then put a tab on it as well.... so it looks like a bolter's ejector port. You might want to file/cut a great deal of the upper portion down as well.

I think there's a picture of a catachan with a shotgun with a similar conversion to the last post, except they removed the muzzle further to have it as a double barrel. Its one of the models on the website/book.

This should help buddy. It works fine with Catachan lasguns, as I've used it myself. You end up with more exposed barrels, but thats not the end of the world.

I did the following for my ME3-esque shotgun. Don't forget to retain the lasgun muzzle for use as red dot/ACOG sights.

Okay, thanks for the advice. Here is a test shotgun I made. It doesn't look great but maybe it'll be better when painted. I made it from a bolter, lasgun, vox, and chimera lasgun

Ok, I slapped a quick paint job on guardsdude so that you can see the shotgun better. I think it turned out all right, but I'll improve next time

Thanks. I will be doing the rest of the squads shotguns almost like this, but with a less hurried paint job lol

I think the barrel is still a tad too long.

Maybe consider chopping it down? I don't know, it just seems too long to me.
