Rosali - The Vengeance of the Stars

Points - 260

Ballistic Skill - 7
Front Armour - 10
Side Armour - 10
Back Armour - 10
Hull Points - 3

It wouldn't be Eldar if she had good armour.

Wargear

Two bright lances
Star Engines

Remnants of Glory

Sanguine Lance: This legendary weapon, that was forged by the core of a star, is a multi-chambered lance - the first of its kind. It was said to have been tainted crimson red by Slaanesh during the first milliseconds of the galactic cataclysm of the Fall, but was rescued by Rosali's brother, Sunn-Ki. Every pulse of energy it emits splits into three beams with the combined power of a quasar; anything unfortunate enough to be caught in the path of its beam is instantly destroyed.

Range: 48
S: 8
AP: 2
Heavy 3, Lance

Stellar Spirit: This celestial psycho-field is said to be manifested by the spirits of a thousand stars. With a spiritual link so strong, it engulfs and consumes anything and everything trespassing beyond its bounds.

The Stellar Spirit gives Rosali and her Crimson Hunter a 4+ invulnerable save.

Warlord Trait

Fate's Messenger

Special Rules

Ancient Doom
Perfect Strike
Skyhunter
Vector Dancer

Exarch Powers

Night Vision
Marksman's Eye

The thing about the Phoenix Lords is that they are monstrously tough, even by non-eldar sta dards.

260p for 3++ flyer with vector dancer, bs7, 5 lance shots in one turn and good warlord trait? Yeah, too cheap.

The Nightshade is the actual weapon, so maybe a 'better' nightshade with better armour is ok.

Give them the 'Battle Fortune' power for the invulnerable, no need for a 3+ with the rest of it having slightly better armour.

I hesitate to do that because it isn't one of the powers that a normal CH Exarch can take . If you look at the other phoenix lords they all have only and all of their respective powers.

I don't think that's true? Baharroth has Battle Fortune for example

A few Phoenix Lords get out of Aspect powers. Baharroth gets Battle Fortune, while only the Dire Avenger Exarch can take it normally. No one gets Feel no Pain apart from Fuegan (though it isn't listed as one of his Aspect powers...).

Ok ok sorry don't have my codex with me ^^ But some part of me says that Battle Fortune could go unnoticed; a 4++ with 1s rerolled isn't as obvious as a remnant of glory. I could always turn it to a 4++, or alternatively give battle fortune and then think of a completely different remnant of glory which does something else.

Decided to change the save from 3++ to 4++ to make her a bit cheaper.

If Apocalypse Reload is to be trusted 'the Void Weaver' is a fair epitaph to apply to the Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spiders; based on the formation I'd give him/her some sort of monofilament blast weapon and possibly improved teleportation. The Phoenix Lord of the Shining Spears is easier, he/she'd get a fancier laser lance, a shuriken cannon, and possibly the ability to Vector Strike with laser lances by moving over enemy units. Something like that.

Speaking of which, anyone find it odd that the Swooping Hawks, Striking Scorpions, and Warp Spiders are the only people who get a special Apocalypse formation just for them? It's not like a set of ten would fill up much more space in a book than the Guard's eight Baneblade variants...
