Starting up some Ravenwing for an Escalation league going on with my play group. The league goes up in three increments from 500 pts, to 750 pts, and ending at 1,000 pts with a tourney to conclude the league.

For this Phase here is my list.

Finished Sammael, decided to paint him to match the rest of the army instead of his normal black and white scheme. Think a mix between Celestial Lions and Ultramarines.





Waiting on the nine bikers to arrive for the Troops choice next.

Nicely Done! Sounds like most people will have trouble handling that much flexibility and Sammaels firepower at 500!

I never thought I'd paint blue like Ultramarines, but that blue and gold really pop on the tabletop.

UPDATE TIME!

I got my nine bikers in today, and with some trading of bits and metal meltaguns laying around I was able to make the three squads of three.

On the far right is a finished test biker for the color scheme.

That is a ton of melta there haha but I think you've modeled too many :(

Still liking the paint scheme though. I'd add a spot color, maybe red? Just so you don't start looking like thousand sons.

I did model some extra Melta, for my 750 pt list :-p

College started back up this week so I've haven't had a chance to really paint. I did play about six games over the weekend though. All of them extremely bloody and I usually only walked about with Sammael and a biker or two. I got tabled by horde Orks at 500 pts, but hey, its hard to deal with 60 boys coming at you.

My only critique would be that I feel like you get out numbered very easily, and perhaps dropping some melta to pick up another squad of bikers.

It's definitely a consideration, plus more bikes would be good for the Dev banner.
