So with the new codex I came up wiyh an Artificer Armoured Thunder Hammer Shield Eternal Plasma Grenade and Ausprex Wielding Chapter Master. But with the only model available with this combo being a rather meh looking Failcast I decided to try and model my own using the old captain model and the terminator sergeants shield and hammer.

And a bit of green stuff to make the base different.

The fig looks good to me! The base looks ok, I guess you could try and straighten out the edges so it doesn't have that mounded effect on the edges, most concrete doesn't form a hump. Unless you're going to paint it like a speed bumb

Agree with Bob, just need to clean the edges a bit. You could go with an 'old world' look with big rough stones, as an alternative. Get some nice grime in the crevices and it could look cool, but not really space marine-y.

All my bases have been done on a city rubble like baseso this bases is goin to be a slab of concrete/architextured concrete wall etc

Yh after it hardened I shaved it slightly to neaten it up
