So my friend recently got the honor guard models and didn't want the Marneus Calgar which I happily took off his hands, I have done a little converting and used some of my bits to try and chaosify him up. I gave him the same weapons that I could also use him as an alternate Abbadon the despoiler, and overall i think i like the way he turned out Comments and feedback much appreciated! Also trying to work on an alternate base right now with him walking on the corpse of a tactical marine.. WIP :p

Nice idea, always good to see a UM fall to chaos! I did identical skull hanging on chain stuck to cloak with my kharn conversion. The lightning claw looks great.

That is amazing, great work. I really like the lightning claw.
I didn't even notice the underslung bolter, so I really like the Talon of Horus is what I meant to say

Really cool conversion. What sword is that? Because i have to redo a abaddon conversion myself.

The only thing that is a bit strange to me is the powerfist holding the sword. "Gently, gently .. " *crack* "O crap another pulverized sword handle ... "

That model is better than the official Abbadon.

It looks like Kranon's sword to me.

Thanks guys, glad you all like him! Yeah it's Kranon's sword, from the Dark Vengeance set. I know the power sword in a power fist isn't real convenient but there wasn't much I could do with the other fist I didn't think :p

Prefer it. The official Abbadon model is disappointing.

Definatley better than the official, the only thing I'm not to fond of is the head, but that's just personal opinion.

That is because Calgar is a pimp. Not all SM heroes moonlight as pimps. Thus, their mastery of Pimp Hand is found wanting.

I'm not completely sold on the head either, found it looked best out of all my bits though, and still has similarities to Abbadon's. Also have to note that many of the heads I tried wouldn't even fit in the armor :p

Definitely better than the official (and rather dated) original.

Currently starting the base I have made up for him, the red isn't that bright and plain in person, but apparently the camera on my phone really wanted to make it pop lol. Either way, giving you an idea of what I'm going for first scenic base I have ever made so feedback would be much appreciated!

Hahah nice pose! It's a great idea, but it needs a bit of work still imo. These two pics show how better to include corpses into a base (no one can expect that level of detail ofc, but useful for some pointers):
Spoiler:

The body on Angrons base looks much more organic as the limbs are drooping down and the corspe on Fulgrims base looks like it's fallen down organically too, cushioning the fall with his arms etc. It also shouldn't be holding weapons imo. If you want the body to look like a fresh kill, you could try having the body cut in half with some GS'd entrails running out of the torso. If you want it to look like an older kill, you could have it half submerged in the ground.

Appreciate the tips! I think I am gonna have the body about 1/3rd submerged in mud with the texture paint so maybe that will help to make it look a little better i hope!
