Ok, i have been working on this set for a few weeks now. It is for my LGS to use with a new gaming group that we have going.

i consider myself about halfway through with the painting on it so far. But one thing that is bugging me is how the details are molded in the trash piles around it... with how it is. i am at a loss how to make it look okay. Right now i am just drybrushing out some of the detailed sections in it .. and planning on leaving the flat areas a dull brown ... but i wish almost they would have been separate parts that could be glued onto the wall if you wanted them.

anyone have any suggestions or comments on how to do things like that? ...

as i get more done will upload more photos...

Yeah, it's a limitation of the plastic moulding process - it does at least make for nice solid terrain, but in places looks a bit weird, especially the skulls that look fine from the top but misshapen from the sides.

Personally I'd glue extra bits of 'trash' from the bits box and modelling gravel/sand over any weird looking bits - wouldn't be hard to add even now when you've already done some of the painting.

did not think of that. hmmm time to dig through scrap containers and see what i can come up with ... a few main areas really stand out ...

I just sanded over most of the "debris", leaving a skull here and a crate there type of look. I like the way it turned out.

i debated on doing that but at the time decided not to ... because of the size of this stuff ... but i think if i do it over again i will do so ...

made some more progress ...

the picture doesn't show it to well but the wall sections have a light metal drybrushing on the edges of it ...

waiting for the weather to warm up outside a little bit so i can clear these parts and move onto the rest.

This looks pretty cool. I would suggest what the users said earlier. I've always felt the Wall debris looked odd.

yeah i agree ... i asked the shop i am painting it for if he wanted me to do some stuff to it to make it look better and he is happy with how it looks so i am not going to mod it ...

i will likely be buying up a part or two for myself though .. and on those i will for sure be changing how the debris sections look.

it looks a lot better with that glued in place ... i do believe i am going to do that on my own once i buy it ...

i have this one about 99% finished ... just finishing up on the big gun ... and then clearcoating it all ... and will take some better photo's of it ...

those flat sections still annoy me on it but the shop owner is very happy with it ...
