Hi guys I'm wanting your opinion on my paint scheme. I have two Russ tanks one is finished with weathering ect, and the other hasn't been weathered. But sitting back now I'm not sure which one I prefer?

Thanks for the reply I kinda feel the same, I spent all the time doing the weathering on the second one and when I was about to do the other I stopped myself and thought actually I don't know if I want to now!

The weathering tends to blur, if not completely mask, the model's lines. It could be a cool effect for a one-off display piece, a diorama, or the like, but I think the first is more visually striking. Colors are more harmonious, as well.

First one is definitely better.

You switched around the pics at the top. Now it is the 2nd one that is better (the unweathered one). It looks like that valk has a similar weathering pattern to the weathered russ. It seems to look okay on it but the picture is a bit farther out so you can't see the weathering as well. The base on the valk looks a little funny too. I like the sentinel, from that angle anyway. Particularly the plasma coil and the rocky base works out much better on the sentinel. Well done.
