So I've been working at this biker Librarian, made form the Dark Vengeance Librarian, the ornament from the back of the Ravenwing Command Squads Champion plus one of the 3 DV bikes; the one with robed legs, and the handlebars off the one using his left arm to hold the bars, this was so I could keep the 'casting' arm as it was.

So far its just roughly positioned with pins, needs some greenstuff and gapfilling being done.
I like how its gone, but for wysiwyg, he has no force weapon, is this a problem? should I tack on a sheathed sword somewhere? (I think I've got a suitable bit somewhere) Or could the force weapons ability be represented by just a psychic attack?

Dug out a possible sheathed sword, I could remove the little group of three pouches on the back of the bike and attach the sword there without too much trouble. other than this, I'm struggling to find places it could go without being in the way or looking silly. Suggestions welcome.

(think this sword is from the Black Templar upgrade frame)

That's looking pretty awesome DOOODE!!!

I think the sword could go by the pouches it it fits length wise. It would probably be hard to put it on his back but that might look cool minus the backpack.

Look forward to seeing this painted up!

What about placing the sword under the backpack and across his waist?

Put a little more work into this last night
Stripped the black off the ornament piece, and made a start on the gap filling. mostly this was between the torso and legs had a sizable gap. By attaching the sword where it is, the ornament now needs to sit slightly higher, it has blu-tak under it now, but will need greenstuffing too.
Am glad I managed to keep the book on his waist, my other idea to incude a book was to make a new front faring out of the large book piece from the DA upgrade frame. But that lead to more wysiwyg problems; lacking the bolters.

All he needs now is a once over with a file/knife to make sure hes clean of mold lines, and all the gaps are filled nicely enouigh before some primer Oneday in future I might even build a Interrogator Chaplain on bike to go with this guy. Will be needing another orniamental piece like that one from the RW command box.
I'm 1 bike and 1 attack bike short of having 3 full ravenwing attack squads, so maybe il get another dark vengeance, convert one into attack bike, and fill that unit out giving me one spare bike for the chappy

Sword placement looks good. As for the bolter I don't think you need to have it models because there is one in the holster of the bike (is a bolt pistol but I doubt people will be THAT picky about it)

was meaning the twin linked bolters that are part of the bike. ....... long story short I was kinda rambling about another option I thought of; to replace the angelwings and twin bolters faring, with a large book of a similar size. Its actuially the way I've done it before to represent a biker libby. But you hvae to convince the opponent to allow the twin bolters despite not being present on the model I suppose. (the book in question is the one off the Ravenwing accessory sprue, intended to sit afront Sammaels Speeder.

I'm just pinning together the Ravenwing Command Squad that goes with this Librarian. Real shame the Librarian is not allowed a plasma talon bike :( ahh well!

Full unit, held together with pins and blutack atm

For my Dark Angels variant colours, I do Ravenwing with purple riders/pilots and black bikes/speeders etc
So will be painting the riders off the bikes where possible. The Librarian unfortunatly has his legs molded onto the bike (Dark Vengeance biker sgt) So he might get masked off with blutack and airbrushed.

(The command squad has been stripped in isopropyl alcohol, could get them looking spanking new with a 2nd bath in the stuff and a light scrub, but I'm happy with this. But thats why they appear quite dark compared to the Librarian)

All thats left to do building wise is to use greenstuff to level off the winged ornament on the librarians bike. after that, Primer, and airbrushing base colours, trying out my new VMA paints for the black. I've got some Vallejo Airbrush Thinner to go with the VMA's, usually I would thin Citadels with Liquitex Airbrush medium, does the Vallejo Thinner perform well with Citadel paints?
I got 6 empty vallejo bottles... I could mix up my citadel purples into an airbrush dropper bottle for convinience perhaps? ... there is a predator, 20 scouts and 20 tactical marines to be sprayed purple too so it would be useful.
