First I just want to make this clear that I don't believe this user has committed any wrong. I know that he has had many successful trades in the past.
The facts are that 25 days ago I payed £25.28 for 8 screamers and 5 seekers and he said that the shipping would take 1-3 weeks.
I'm a little concerned as it still has not arrived and I haven't had any contact since the 20th. I'm making this thread because I have a lot of stuff going on in my life at the moment and a lot of other transactions in progress, I really do need a record of this just so I don't forget about it.

Did you message him? I am sure if he has done multiple trades before that he sent them.
It has been 25 days and 3 weeks is 21 days so thats pretty close. Also christmas time is usually the busiest time for shipping but who knows.
Hopefully you get your stuff

Yeah I've messages him a couple of times. As I've said. Life's a bit crazy at the moment so the main reason for this thread is as a record of a slightly awry transaction.

Yeah, Parcels are really slow at this time of the year. I ordered something that was supposed to arrive next day. Rang up and won't receive it till the 13th because of the amount of deliveries.

It's just the fact that he hasn't replied. Of course this is the holdiay season so I can understand why he may not have time to respond. But still I need to keep an eye on the PayPal deadline.

I have since received this:
Oh sorry, I hadn't logged into my account in a while.
The real issue is that, in order to have the cheapest shipping, I had to put it by land, which usually means it takes a while. Plus, it fell into the holidays, causing even more delays.
All I can suggest is to wait a little while longer. It will arrive, I can guarantee it, since I did ship it. This has happened once before, and this is primarily why I recommend tracking. The only issue is that to ship to the UK with tracking costs something like 50$ CAD, which is absurd of course for what you bought.
If you can be patient, I can guarantee it'll show up. I'm sadly not surprised that it's been delayed, as postal services world wide have been suffering, and the holidays are a big deal for them.
Regards,
Lex Azevedo
As I said, I'm not too worried at the moment. Hopefully it should come soon.

I ordered some stuff from the UK before the holidays (Dec 9 to be exact) and it only arrived the day before New Years Eve. I would give it time.

What you can do is before the PP deadline arrives if you don't have the package file a claim. If it does arrive and you have been reimbursed you can always resend the money. Once the deadline passes you are SOL for doing anything if it doesn't show up.

If he has a good number of trades and you didn't pay him that much i'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'd say to just be open with him about the claim, let him know you're doing it just to protect your money and interests and that you'll cancel as soon as it arrives, you just don't want to be out that amount. Still, if it's 25 days out right now, and the paypal window is 45, you should probably give it about 35 days-that puts forth an honest attempt to wait for him but also doesn't let you forget to fill it out at the last minute. Hope that advice is sound to you.

Keep calm. As the others already said, Christmas is the worst period for shipping. I ordered something on 16th of December (express 2-5 days), and I received it yesterday. So your order is on time.

Hi Bacon.
I send out international parcels all the time for obvious reasons ( obvious if you've seen my banner that is). I've known shipped (rather than flown) packages to take up to six weeks at this time of year (that's from North America to the UK). Also, bear in mind that the weather we've had in the North Atlantic the last few weeks hasn't exactly been conducive to fast shipping times.
Mailing from the UK to North America is usually a far faster process. Partly because of the costs involved (the Royal Mail's charges are dirt cheap compared to what folks pay for international shipping or airmail in the USA and Canada and involve faster delivery times for less cost) but mostly because our smaller postal network is a hell of a lot better organised.
That being said, I'm not advising you one way or another where Paypal claims are concerned. Just giving you a heads up on the current state of international post from North America to the UK.

Once again I will reiterate that I am not blaming this Shadelkan and am not hugely worried about this transaction. Posting in this thread is more for noting other users that I have had an issue and serves as a reminder to me that it still hasn't come. I need somewhere to keep track of this or I'll forget. It's not a huge amount of money but certainly not something I'm going to let go. I thank you for your comment though

I just recently bought a Heldrake and some spawn from Shadelkan, and had another transaction with him a few months ago. I had no problems. Everything came fast and as described. He could do with some slightly better packing to limit breakage, but that's going to happen. Your models may have simply been lost in the mail.

Get the Customs form # from him. It will be on his purchase receipt and the Customs form receipt he got.
