Detailed asteroids are available from Games of War in Seaham great for X Wing and other Sci-Fi games. As a player of X-Wing myself I'm particularly happy with the irregular bases cut in clear acrylic so that you don't have to put up with perfectly circular flying bases when determining if you have encountered the asteroid or not. Come have a closer look at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.687273097979367.1073741912.162862513753764&type=1&comment_id=6827416&offset=0&total_comments=3¬if_t=photo_album_comment
Hope you all like them.

They completely missed an opportunity to have a giant worm chasing a freighter out of one of the "caves".

This was my thought exactly when we released them. I hope to be doing some much bigger ones in the future; you never know, a giant worm could feature on them.

yeah,
I'd be interested in the bases without the asteroids.
I have x-wing and tie fight wrecks that I want to rebase.
Right now i just place my wrecks on top of the asteroid tokens..

Hi Panic and Ironicsilence. I can send you the bases and the clear stalks if you would like without the asteroids; they are cut to the shape and size of the asteroid bases from the X-Wing box. That wouldn't be a problem. Just contact me at hq@gamesofwar.co.uk and we can sort out quantity and any other queries. I like your destroyed X-Wing and Tie idea, I may have to steal that if you don't mind. The more obstacles on the board the better.

yeah, That's great to hear, email sent! In my blog I showed how the wrecks were made with insta mold and putty. Here and Here. yup they will look better and be 100% more functional if I change the circle bases to the token shapes! Will get you photos once done! Panic...

yeah, from my X-Wing blog.. but it seemed appropriate to repost here. ++ A quick PM and a few emails, a little bit of paypal and three sets popped through my letter box! Huzzah! Nice crisp cut shapes and sturdy 3mm pegs. Lovely. I dremmeled out 3mm holes in the underside of my shipwrecks. I played about working out which wreck would look best on which asteroid shape. A little bit of green stuff and super glue and they were ready for action. The bottom of the pegs fits real tight in the base holes so I didn't need to glue that. The peg and ship can be easily separated from the base if required? for overlapping? What they look like on a gale force 9 space mat. I also made some optional tokens to place under the bases. When a ship is about to overlap I can lift the asteroid up and leave the token behind. Some 1mm clear tokens would be even better! ++ Very Happy with the bases Panic...

These look great Panic. I'm very happy to see our product getting used on such a good idea. I have to admit they look much better than the flying bases and I imagine they give you a nice irregular shape to play around. Thanks for posting the pictures, fantastic job.

Those destroyed ships look good. It's nice to see that they fit on the irregular bases with no problems. Definatley better than using the round bases. The bases could be used for satellites, mines or abandoned escape pods too.

My main X-Wing buddy struggles with the spacial aspects of the game the most.... Which means want these just for the look on his face as he rams his Ties into them over and over.
