Hey folks. Here's my most recent finished commission, an unusual chapter based on Dan Abnett's Iron Snakes novels. The client did a lot of the work on the assembly for me, magnetising pretty much anything that can be magnetised Enjoy, and as always, C&C welcome!

First up; Squad Thebes.

Looks pretty good man. I also play (well, used to play, still collect/paint) Iron Snakes.

You have a nice clean look to yours, and you got the correct knee pad painted red (I realized I did the "wrong" knee after about half the army had already been done that way)

Looking good, that's a very nice colour scheme done well.

They look great! Love that banner!

The dark background makes it a bit hard to see the models, but your counts-as Pedro looks great! Where did you get that power fist from?

I believe it's from Forgeworld. Couldn't tell you what kit though. Or it might be the Iron Hands upgrade pack.

Oh nice stuff. I loved the Brotherhood of the snake novel and I love Iron Snake models. Both your squads and your Pedro look ace.

Nice metal work did you use a buffer paint like I have seen ofr model cars?

No dude, just Army Painter Gunmetal, through an airbrush, edge highlighted with model air silver.

Awesome models of Iron Snakes wanted to paint this SM chapter since reading the book. How hard was it to paint the snake emblem?

Good stuff. very well done paint job. Pics are too dark to do your work justice. I would love to see more though.

Cheers guys. The snake is pretty easy to do. Just use thin paint and do a curly 'm' shape. Then add some teeth :-)

Generally, I started with the center "tear drop" shape, then just continue the lines to create 2 more tear drops facing opposite, then continue the thin line beyond that, eventually tapering into a tail on one end, and a wider end/mouth for the head.
