My Sons of Horus Army is well underway and now my attention is turning to one of my favorite armies. Yes the Ultramarines!

Roboute Guilliman has been ordered (custom model by k. silver)

I am starting with 30 tactical marines of which will be consist of the following components.

Maxmini Steamknight Head
Heresy Era mk. V Bodies by Forge World
Ultramarine Shoulder Pads by Games Workshop

I am going to run this army using 40k 6th Edition Space Marine Codex. Guilliman will just count as Calgar. I will upload photos as stuff arrives at my door and I begin the conversions.

Nice idea! I love the maxmini heads and I think you went with the right head option. Also if i may enquire who is k. Silver and where could I order one of his custom minis? Is he a converted/sculptor? Or along those lines? Well anyways, I hope to see more progress.

Eldar Craftworld: Xiado

Eldar Corsair Band: Void Spectres

Hey cool stuff. Don't see many Ultramarine blogs so I'll be looking forward to see how you go with this. The MkV marines are pretty damn cool.

By the way, have you seen Chapterhouse studios Spartan heads? They'd be good for sergeants and the like. Plus also Chapterhouse has a sale on at the moment. 15% off!
Might be worth a look?

I actually decided not to go with k.silver. I bought a Roboute Guilliman from a custom sculptor based in the UK he arrived today. Pics will be up when I get home.

If you search eBay for Roboute Guilliman under completed models you will get his info.
