Good day, I have yet to use my Ork bikerz. I read about them often and that they are a good but expensive unit.
I have 6 bikerz from the ABoR box and am willing to get more if need be.
What advice I am looking for is how to make them obviously Nob Bikers vs biker boys.
As well how to equip them to get the most bang for my points.
Specific questions would be how many in unit, how many PKs, is it worth it to have a biker WarBoss...that kinda thing.
I know that different situations and list point values require different set-ups.
I would like to know how you do it, what has worked for you and if there are any do's/dont's that are generaly accepted.
Thanx for your help

6 is a good number up to 2K (at 2K you can/should take more)

I run this many and in the following composition:

2 PK (1 of them with a Waaagh banner)
2 Big Choppas
1 Vanilla (who could also just take a Big Choppa, mine are just modeled this way)
1 Painboy
Cybork Bodies on all
optional: 1 with Bosspole, and some combi scorchas are also worth the points if you have some to spare.

Now the bigger issue is you NEED to take a kitted Biker Boss with them to make them really survivable and effective (giving you S10, challenge options, LoS to tank wounds etc) good new is the best of the best comes to a mere 160 points with Cybork, PK, Attack Squig, BP and Combi weapon

They are all around solid, I have survived whole Tau armies shooting at them, but YMMV since we're talking about 4+ cover or armor, then 5++ and FNP, so if the dice fail you you are SoL

As a general tactic I point and shoot with them, 24" turbo boost T1 right down the enemy's throat while the rest of your army moves into position.

They are strong enough to go toe-to-toe with basically everything in the game with the odd exception (Warboss T6 makes him immune to S10 ID etc).

Biker warboss is kind of essential, because otherwise they are stuck at Ld 7.

Giving the warboss FNP probably justifies a painboy even in a small unit.

Pretty much any set-up for the warboss is viable. He doesn't need a PK, but can use one effectively.

A large unit of biker nobs is probably overkill against anything you want to be hitting, especially with a warboss. Only time I can see you wanting more than about five in the unit would be if you wanted to intercept an enemy deathstar before it piled into your shooty units.

You don't need many Power Klaws. Very few things will survive even two power klaw nobs.

What do you mean bikers from the AoBR box? There aren't any bikers in that set. Do you mean converted Deffkoptas or are you talking about the bikers from the battleforce?

Deffkoptas are a bit bulkier than normal boys, but still a little small for nobs. Some shoulder pads from the boyz or nobz set would help make them a bit more impressive.

Bikers can be made into nobs by using the nob torsos and arms from the biker and boys kits. Bulking out their legs with some extra armour plates is optional, but I think it makes them a little more imposing.

Here's what I usually run:
Warboss - Bike, Power Klaw, Cybork Body (Just in case,) Attack Squig (If I have the points,) and a Bosspole (Once again, if I have points.)

Bikers:
2-3 Power Klaws
1-2 Big Choppas
Painboy - (Practically mandatory. Give Cyborks all around.)
Bosspole (Yes, another one)
Optionally, a couple combi-flamers.
1-2 Vanilla guys, as body shields in the front of the unit.

If I run 1 BikerBoss it's 9 Nobz, one with Banner AND PK and another one with PK and of course PainBoy.

At 2000 points I'll run 2 BikerBosses with 9 one of which has the Banner and a PainBoy but NO PKs for the Nobz.

Those PK points go much further on a BikerBoss than a NobBiker.

I run 7, with a Boss.

3 Klaws (1 WAAAGH Banner)
2 Big Choppas (1 with BP)
Painboy (with Orderly)
1 Stock (the first to die, inevitably)
All with Cybork.

Supported by the full Biker Boss. BP, PK, Cybork, Attack Squig, Warbike, all those good things.

I use the following:

Bikerboss, PK, BP, Cybork
2 PKs (1 WAAGH banner)
1 Painboy
2 Vanilla Bikers (they go in the front or side to absorb wounds)

this only runs about 480 points, so if you were trying to get to 500 you can toss in some big choppas or combi-skorchas or whatever.

6 is a good number of bikers. They need a bikerboss with them - he's what makes them so frightening. I'd take 5-6 + painboy + bikerboss. Don't overinvest points in them, though.

What you definitely should buy for them:
-Painboy
-Cyporks
-1 pk
-1 pole

What could be helpful:
-Grot orderly for a painboy. I alwayz take it, has saved da boss a few times.
-Extra pk, but don't go over 2. They allready do the job
-Bigchoppas. Personally i don't take them cause they allready got s5 on the charge and 1 extra attack. So it's more of a defensive thing or anti-mc. Still doesn't do too much when there are pks around.
-Extra bosspole. I don't mind paying 5 pt just in case the pole-bearer gets sniped out
-Combi-scrochas, though i find tl dakkagunz are doing the job just fine. Still fun to scorcha da hell of a farsight bomb.
-WAAAAGH banner. It's good vs ws4-5 targets. But personally i find it not necessary - they still do the killing in mellee and are rather tough to endure a few more hits.

Note:
They're very durable. this 4+ cover and 5+ fnp is exactly 2/3 to save a wound. So count them as having 3+ save vs stuff that can't ignore cover/4+ armor and fnp. 5++ with fnp is 5/9. So even vs stuff that ignores cover and 4+ armor, you still get nice saves. 2 wounds allow you to have use of moving wounded models from the front
They hit hard.
They're an expensive deathstar - use mobility to avoid things you don't want to meet in mellee like tarpitters or draigo pallies.
They're frightening so they'll draw ALOT of fire. Use it for your advantage. Remember, u're winning with positioning. Killing stuff is just a result of good positioning - you ain't taudar so you need brainz to win.

Thank you all for the advice and tips! I now have a really good idea what to get and how to use them. The ones I have are not from the ABoR but the battle force, you are right! I will try to let you guys know how it goes when I use them. Cheers!

Well, I'd opt for a full squad with 10 Nob Biker led by a Waagh Boss on bike. Orks have cheap troops so that you can compensate the costs of this unit.
