So I was just wondering where to buy paints for infinity. Probably a nooby question but I am an infinity noob, can you use GW paints though I'm guessing they're mainly just plastic paints and if you can use them which ones would I need for some ariadnans.

There are no specific Infinity paints and no need for them. Your GW ones will do fine as long as you remember to thin them a bit - the detail on Infinity models can be very fine and can get obscured easily.

I use a mix of GW and Vallejo paints, and they are fine! As IJW says it is helpful to thin them a bit (and also not to drink cups of coffee before painting )

Angel Giraldez, their studio painter, has a close relationship with Vallejo, but that's as close to official as you are going to get.

It's probably due more to Vallejo and CB BOTH being Spain-based, though.

They're just the local paint company.

I use a combination of Army painter, P3, Vallejo and my remaining GW stuff (mostly washes).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Yeah but he also uses GW, P3, etc.

Basically whatever paint he feels will "get the job done" he'll use.

That's pretty much how I paint too. I primarily use Vallejo and GW paints, though the GW paints are slowly being replaced with Vallejo. I have a few P3 paints since they have a slot of colours that are different to other ranges (Coal Black, Pallid Flesh, Jack Bone, etc). I've also got some Army Painter colours scattered around (mostly their inks).

My main line is Vallejo.
The only GW 'paints' I have are the washes I still have (couple of bottles of badab black and devlan mud, as well as purple, red and green).
And a couple of P3 paints ( I like their coal black and white).
Army painter is a couple of blues.

I tend to use Reaper, P3 and Vallejo. But if I had to pick just one I'd go with Vallejo.

That's pretty much my setup too.

Vallejo Model and Game Color with a bit of GW still in the mix...

I use a mix of Vallejo, GW and the odd Humbrol

But as long as the minis are primed properly i don't see why any would be more or less suitable. It's all down to which you like to work with best

Oooooh, I can't wait to get my hands on that model and his twin brother!

As far as paints go, I have a bunch of GW (ranging all the way back to the 1980's coat 'd arms flip-tops), Vallejo (lots of military colors for Flames of War), and P3. I use them all about equal frequency. My washes are GW, inks are P3, my go to for a nice solid bright red is GW.
